What you'll be doing

You’ll join CIBC’s Enterprise Project Office (EPO), part of the Planning, Analytics and Platform team, where we support enterprise project and portfolio management through data, insights, and continuous improvement. As a Data Analyst Co-op, you’ll contribute to the ongoing evolution of CIBC’s Enterprise Project and Portfolio Management system, Planview, and the related data and reporting processes that support it. You’ll use your interest in data and analytics to help organize, integrate, visualize, and automate project data assets. You’ll also support the development of current and future-state data assets, including conventional and artificial intelligence-enabled solutions, as well as system and process diagrams. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience while working with partners across the business to improve how project data is managed and used.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

  • Duration of term: 4 months (January – April 2027)

How you'll succeed

  • Data management and analytics - Support the creation of streamlined, organized project data assets by applying data organization, integration, visualization, and automation principles. Use and continue building your experience with tools such as SQL, application programming interfaces (APIs), Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Planview, or similar enterprise project and portfolio management platforms.
  • Artificial intelligence enablement - Contribute to the assessment and development of agentic artificial intelligence use cases for the EPO and the broader community. Help explore how data can be exchanged effectively between the enterprise project and portfolio management system and emerging artificial intelligence tools and agents.
  • Partner support - Help respond to requests and inquiries, including access and permission management, through team mailboxes and shared support channels. Build strong relationships with partners to improve the overall partner experience.
  • Adaptability and execution - Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Contribute effectively as part of a team where processes and procedures continue to be updated and improved.

  • You're motivated by collective success. You know that teamwork can transform a good idea into a great one. You know that an inclusive team that enjoys working together can bring a vision to life.
  • You embrace and advocate for change. You continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work in order to deliver your best.
