Job description

Who are we: PATH is a dynamic, privately held company developing real estate in British Columbia, Alberta, and Washington State. While PATH has been actively developing commercial, retail, and residential real estate since 2003, its principals have been leaders in the industry for over 35 years. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join the Construction team in our Royal Bay office. While this opportunity is primarily for a Project Manager, we are also open to considering candidates with more extensive experience and qualifications for a Construction Manager position, depending on the right fit.

Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Construction, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of wood-frame residential construction projects. Working closely with site teams, trades, consultants, and internal stakeholders, you will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to PATH’s quality and safety standards.

The PATH culture fosters strong career growth, and this role will be exposed to a variety of functions in a very active real estate development environment.

Specifically:

  • Lead project teams and coordinate site staff, trades, consultants, and suppliers throughout construction.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, and milestones.
  • Oversee tendering, contracts, RFIs, change orders, invoices, and progress draws.
  • Conduct regular site reviews to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
  • Identify and resolve project challenges, communicating updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage project close-out, deficiencies, warranty coordination, and handover.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

· Demonstrated experience managing wood-frame construction projects; townhome experience preferred.

· A minimum of five years of experience leading a team.

· Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and site safety.

· Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction project management software; experience with ACC, Smartsheet, or Sage is an asset.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to contribute to PATH’s growing residential portfolio. We appreciate all applicants; however, only those selected for next steps will be contacted.
