Job description

Ready to shape the future of fun?

At Vortex, we have been bringing communities, businesses, and families together with innovative aquatic structures since 1995. We are proud to have created 10 000 custom installations spanning 50 countries and 5 continents! Vortex creates precious memories for thousands of families around the world every day.

If you want an exciting career in an environment that values innovation and collaboration, we’d love to hear from you. We welcome all applicants and are committed to diversity, equity and ensuring everyone is empowered to succeed.

Bring complex, one-of-a-kind projects from concept to installation.

At Vortex, our projects combine engineering, design, construction, and creativity to create aquatic play environments enjoyed by communities around the world. We’re looking for a Project Manager who enjoys solving technical challenges, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and seeing projects move from an idea on paper to a completed installation.

Working alongside designers, technical drafters, engineers, and sales professionals, you’ll act as the link between our customers and the teams responsible for delivering each project. From the bidding stage through execution and installation, you’ll help ensure projects are delivered successfully, on time, and to Vortex quality standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate customer requests and determine the best mechanical and structural solutions.
  • Assess the feasibility of product modifications and new concepts.
  • Review project designs and customer requirements to determine technical specifications.
  • Conduct technical studies and contribute to project cost estimates.
  • Once a project is awarded, define the technical phases, deliverables, and requirements needed for successful execution.
  • Manage the flow of information between customers, Sales, Engineering, Design, and other key stakeholders.
  • Meet with architects, designers, engineers, contractors, and customers to coordinate design and technical requirements.
  • Support customers and contractors with engineering and technical questions throughout the project.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and quality.
  • Keep technical deliverables on schedule and within project requirements while maintaining a strong focus on quality and innovation.

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of project management experience, ideally within construction, manufacturing, architecture, design, or a related project-based environment.
  • Experience coordinating projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in a construction-related environment is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural, construction, civil, or technical drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work directly with customers, contractors, architects, and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Comfortable working with technical information and collaborating with engineering and design teams.
  • A degree or diploma in construction management, project management, or a related field is an asset; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Experience with CAD or technical drawing software is an asset.
  • PMP certification and aquatic industry experience are assets.
  • Ability to travel to project sites when required.
  • Bilingual French and English, with at least an intermediate level of English.

Proficiency in English is required for this role, as approximately 40% of the responsibilities involve regular communication with stakeholders based in the United States and Europe.

Why Join Vortex?

At Vortex, innovation, collaboration, and fun are at the heart of what we do. Our products bring people together through play in communities around the world.

We offer a collaborative and creative work environment, along with a competitive benefits package that includes health and dental coverage, RRSP matching, a bonus program, company-paid training and education reimbursement, telemedicine, an Employee Assistance Program, and personalized onboarding. Employees also enjoy access to an on-site gym and free parking.
