Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

EnerCorp Engineered Solutions is hiring a Purchaser to join our Procurement team for our fabrication operations. You will turn approved estimates into purchase orders, keep long-lead material on schedule, and keep the shop supplied without overbuying. You will also assist our global operations across North America, South America, and the Middle East. Accuracy matters here: every quote, PO, and landed shipment is audited against the production schedule.

Location: The successful candidate may be based out of either our Calgary or Grande Prairie location.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source and quote materials from multiple vendors for every RFQ.
  • Issue POs from approved estimates.
  • Manage the landing schedule against production and follow up with vendors on delivery dates.
  • Select subcontractors from the Approved Contractor List only.
  • Approve invoices for material you purchased and handle subcontractor POs.
  • Review drawings and quotes for discrepancies, and attend IFC and post-project meetings.
  • Partner with the Warehouse Manager on inventory use and material requisitions.
  • Keep current industry pricing and support the Rentals and Service divisions

    WORKING AT ENERCORP

You will work closely with the VP Operations, Estimators, the Warehouse Manager, Sales Designers, and Engineering. We expect you to mentor others, take initiative on tasks you have not been shown, and own your accuracy. Safety is part of every role: you will complete FLHA cards, take part in the spotter system, and know the emergency and near-miss reporting process.

    WHY JOIN US
  • We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth in a stable and thriving industry. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Competitive pay

  • Comprehensive benefits package: dental, life insurance, vision care, extended health coverage, and more.

  • Retirement savings: RRSP matching to invest in your future.
  • Career development: opportunities for advancement within our company as you expand your skills and knowledge.
  • Wellness program: your health and well-being are important to us.
  • Personal spending account: flexible spending for personal or professional use.
  • Safety rewards program: your commitment to safety doesn’t go unnoticed, and we reward it.
  • Company events: participate in team-building events and company gatherings.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three or more years in purchasing, procurement, or materials for fabrication, manufacturing, or oil and gas.
  • Hands-on experience running RFQs, comparing quotes, and issuing POs against an estimate.
  • Comfortable reading engineering drawings, IFA/IFC packages, and long-lead lists.
  • Working knowledge of pressure equipment materials and codes (ASME, CSA B51) is an asset.
  • Experience sourcing from Canadian and US vendors, including freight and land-date planning.
  • Strong organization and attention to documentation, since every quote and PO is audited.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems. Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
  • Experience with global shipping is an asset.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with operations, engineering, sales, and vendors.

SYSTEMS AND TOOLS

You will work in NetSuite, our ERP, for purchase orders, vendor records, receiving, and invoice approval. You will also use Outlook for vendor correspondence and the landing schedule calendar, and the warehouse whiteboard for material status. Training on our NetSuite setup is provided during onboarding.
