Job description

🚀 Responsable principal(e), Opérations & Intégration des TI (IT Operations & Integration Lead)

Ascent Sports Group (Spordle • LiveBarn • GameSheet)

📍 Lieu : Grand Montréal / Boisbriand, QC (Mode hybride)

💼 Type : Temps plein (40 h / semaine)

🚀 IT Operations & Integration Lead

Ascent Sports Group (Spordle • LiveBarn • GameSheet)

📍 Location: Greater Montreal / Boisbriand, QC (Hybrid model)

💼 Type: Full-time (40 hrs / week)

⏰ Schedule: Flexible (Monday to Friday)

💵 Target Base Salary: CAD $105,000

🎯 Mission: Get every Ascent employee onto one set of corporate IT tools, devices, and support processes, with no drama and no surprises.

Role Overview

Following the integration of Spordle, LiveBarn, and GameSheet, Ascent Sports Group is hiring an execution-focused IT Operations & Integration Lead to drive our year-one IT consolidation and assume full operational ownership of corporate IT across the group moving forward.

This is a hands-on management role focused on execution, process optimization, and service delivery. You will coordinate the internal IT support pod, lead tenant-to-tenant migrations, standardize endpoint management, optimize our corporate SaaS footprint, and manage the ongoing performance of an external Managed Service Provider (MSP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Tenant Consolidation: Plan and execute the consolidation onto a single Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace environment (mailboxes, file storage, SSO identity/MFA, domain cutovers, employee communications).
  • Endpoint Management (MDM): Standardize device builds and configuration profiles for Mac and Windows; own the end-to-end device lifecycle (procurement, zero-touch enrollment, shipping, repair, and wipe).
  • Internal Pod Coordination & MSP Governance: Organize daily IT ticketing workflows, support internal IT pod members, standardize joiner/mover/leaver (JML) processes, and hold the external MSP accountable to strict SLA targets.
  • SaaS Rationalization & Procurement: Centralize IT purchasing, maintain hardware/software license inventories, eliminate redundant applications, and track synergy cost savings with Finance and the CAO.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner smoothly with the Security/Privacy Lead, DevOps/SysOps team, HR, and the CAO, flagging risks and blockers early.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–8 years in corporate IT, including 2+ years as a Senior SysAdmin, IT Lead, or IT Manager.
  • Hands-on experience executing at least one M365 or Google Workspace tenant-to-tenant migration (mailboxes, files, domains, identity), ideally post-M&A.
  • Practical experience rolling out and managing an MDM platform (Intune, Jamf, Kandji, or Google endpoint management) across mixed Mac and Windows fleets.
  • Proven track record coordinating an internal IT pod and managing an outsourced MSP (SLA monitoring, escalation handling).
  • A pragmatic, hands-on executor who thrives on setting standards, closing tickets when needed, and finishing projects thoroughly.
  • Strong communication skills in English; French proficiency is a significant asset for collaborating with our Quebec-based teams.

Work Conditions & Benefits

  • Location: Hybrid model based in Greater Montreal / Boisbriand (occasional travel to Ascent offices).
  • Compensation: Target base salary of CAD $105,000 depending on background and expertise.
  • Comprehensive group insurance plan (health, dental, vision, life).
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and retirement/savings plan.
  • Flexible work-from-home policy.
  • Dynamic, fast-paced environment at the intersection of technology and sports.
