ABOUT THE ROLE

Ensure continuous delivery of high-quality products, timely customer deliveries, optimal resource utilization, and exceptional customer satisfaction while meeting company KPIs.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Supervise daily concrete batching operations and drivers to meet targeted KPIs in safety, environment, productivity, and quality.
  • Drive daily plant operations to achieve safety performance goals, aiming for zero incidents.
  • Efficiently manage driver, loader operator, and fleet scheduling to maximize turns per day and minimize idle time.
  • Coordinate routine and preventative maintenance on trucks, plant equipment, and loaders to maximize up-time.
  • Manage raw material inventories (aggregate, cement, admixtures, ice) and complete accurate monthly physical counts and bi-annual zero-inventory checks.
  • Process COD sales, collect payments prior to concrete delivery, and exhaust all opportunities to sell Value-Added Products (VAP).
  • Maintain high standards for plant image, housekeeping, property condition, and proper returned-concrete management.
  • Monitor operational metrics to maintain voided concrete under 1%, limiting top-ups, deadheads, and call-in no-loads.
  • Maintain positive employee relations, foster safe work practices, and ensure adherence to collective agreements and company policies.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: Civil Engineering degree or Technologist diploma, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Field of Study Preferred: Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
  • Required Work Experience: 3–5 years of supervisory experience in concrete manufacturing or related operations.
  • Required Training/Certifications: Thorough understanding of the concrete manufacturing process. Sound knowledge of union collective agreements preferred.
  • Required Technical Skills: Proficiency in batching and inventory control platforms (e.g., Command, SAP), general computer literacy, operational analytics/KPI tracking software.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 5% travel outside the local market area.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to handle financial tracking and daily operational decision-making.
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of English is required, as the incumbent must communicate regularly with clients and suppliers of goods and/or services along with team members or support functions outside Quebec.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A generous Pension Plan designed to support you through various stages of your career and life.
  • Access to voluntary programs like RRSP and TFSA for future financial planning.
  • Healthy Living support through an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP), offering confidential assistance for work, health, or life challenges.
