Job description
Minor in advertising.
Major in mattering.

Academy is a full-service, social-first agency that makes brands matter to the people who matter most to them. We’re on a mission to connect what brands have to say with what people actually care about through best-in-class strategy, creativity and cultural insight.

The Senior Coordinator, PR & Creator Partnerships

You’re the person who gets stories placed and creators live. You’ll support day-to-day execution across earned media, creator programs and Academy’s own agency profile: pitching editors, finding and vetting influencers, tracking dollars and deliverables, and turning results into reports clients want to read.
You'll learn fast, too. Academy is a highly integrated agency, so you'll be supported by an in-house team of social-first creatives, strategists and producers.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

Media Relations
  • Draft client and agency media advisories, pitches, and op eds, all grounded in key messaging, with minimal edits
  • Build and own targeted media lists
  • Outreach to media and coordinate interviews
  • Monitor media for results, new contacts and story angles
  • Build reports
  • Share as-it-happens coverage updates with internal stakeholders
  • Track PR hard costs against planned quotes
Events
  • Invites and RSVP management
  • Onsite check-in and support
Creator Partnerships
  • Research and vet creators against criteria to build creator shortlists with rates and audience data
  • Support creator outreach and day-to-day communication from first contact through to final post
  • Execute gifting and seeding programs, including kit development, shipping logistics and follow-up
  • Support paid partnerships: draft briefs, tailor contract templates, track usage rights and exclusivity terms, and manage content review and approvals
  • Track creator fees and seeding costs against client estimates, and flag budget pressure early
  • Manage partnership admin: countersignatures, invoice submission and the client partnership tracker (final content, agreements, invoices)
  • Track live content and performance
  • Pull campaign and creator-level metrics (reach, engagement rate, CPM, cost per engagement, EMV) and draft wrap reports with clear takeaways
Across the Division
  • Support onsite at shoots and XM, which sometimes means evenings and weekends
  • Help build and improve partnership templates, trackers and processes
  • Use AI and automation tools to speed up research, list-building and reporting
  • Keep the team current on industry insights and competitive activity, relevant platform changes and creator trends

What You Bring
  • 2–3 years of experience in PR and/or creator/influencer marketing, ideally agency-side (internships count)
  • Experience with both earned and paid media and/or creator partnerships
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, can flex into concise professional or social-first creative. Pitches that get people excited, briefs that creators can actually follow
  • A relentless pursuit of clarity and organization, and high attention to detail
  • Comfort juggling multiple clients, deadlines and priorities at once
  • The ability to receive and action feedback, as well as disagree and commit
  • Curiosity that drives a willingness to go above and beyond, in a consistent pursuit of betterment
Bonus Points
  • Working knowledge of creator discovery, relationship management and tracking tools (Meltwater, Modash, Mighty Scout)
  • Experience coordinating creator partnerships on TikTok, Pinterest or Twitch
  • Experiential (XM) or event experience
  • French language skills

Why Academy
