  • Establish and maintain governance for financial data, master data, reporting structures and planning systems, including cost centres, profit centres, hierarchies, segments and financial dimensions.
  • Coordinate the design, testing and continuous improvement of SAP financial structures, reporting logic, planning data and related Finance system configurations.
  • Develop, maintain and automate financial reports, dashboards, budget and forecast tools, reconciliations and management reporting, leveraging SAP, Power BI and Excel to establish a reliable source of financial information.
  • Support annual budgets, forecasts and multi-year financial plans, while continuously improving planning models, assumptions, processes and reporting tools.
  • Analyze financial performance, operational KPIs and actual results against budget and forecast, providing variance analysis, scenarios and insights to identify key drivers, risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, Chiefs, Directors and business leaders to provide financial guidance and decision support, resolve data and system issues, and drive continuous improvement, automation and adoption of FP&A processes and tools.

The requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Analytics or a related discipline; CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, FP&A, finance systems, SAP reporting, data analytics, business intelligence or process improvement.
  • Strong expertise in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, performance management and management reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP financial modules, master data, cost centre structures, reporting hierarchies, financial dimensions and transaction-level data.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI, dashboards, automation, data models and business intelligence/reporting solutions.
  • Strong ability to translate Finance planning and reporting needs into data requirements, system enhancements, process improvements and effective reporting solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated capabilities in data validation, reconciliation, governance, documentation and financial controls.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to collaborate effectively across Finance, IT and business teams, combined with a proactive, curious and solution-oriented mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.

Why join our innovative team?

  • A retirement plan and savings options (RRSP and TFSA).
  • Vacations based on experience, available upon hiring.
  • An incentive compensation program.
  • Flexible hybrid work mode.
  • A work environment that encourages initiative, innovation, and forward-thinking solutions.
  • A unique opportunity to shape the future of transportation in Canada.
