Job description

At Viral Nation, we specialize in building social-first ecosystems for brands to connect with the modern consumer journey. Our integrated solutions align strategy, talent, media, and technology with culturally relevant creativity to scale the world’s fastest-growing digital brands. Viral Nation offers a fluid, creative, and growth-oriented environment that will support your ambitions to apply your talents in an open, collaborative, and fast-paced culture. Our ability to stay at the forefront of the industry has fuelled our success and will guide us in paving the path forward. We’re driven to push boundaries and think beyond today to deliver strategies, and we’re just getting started.

While we continuously exceed our goals, we need your help – our success is only as great as our people. Strong performance leads to high expectations, and we must keep raising the bar!

Viral Nation is one of the most advanced applied-AI companies in North America, reporting to the VP, Demand Generation, the Senior Manager, Content Marketing will run the day-to-day content engine that turns Viral Nation’s expertise and proprietary social data into MQLs, SQLs, and pipeline. The audience is clear: the content exists to attract and convert enterprise brands and the CMOs and marketing leaders who choose their agency partners. You own the editorial calendar and hands-on execution, from writing and AI-assisted production to SEO, distribution, and performance reporting, within the content strategy set with marketing leadership. Leading two content contributors plus a freelance/agency bench, you are a player-coach who ships high-impact thought leadership every week and keeps the team on cadence.

Responsibilities:

Run the content function to drive business growth

  • Use AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) daily to research, draft, and QA content, sustaining a high-volume, always-on cadence without sacrificing quality or brand voice.
  • Build and maintain reusable prompts, guides, templates, and agentic workflows so the team produces consistently rather than one piece at a time.
  • Apply human editorial judgment, fact-checking, and brand governance to every AI-assisted asset.
  • Own and execute the content calendar aimed at winning enterprise brand clients, mapped to demand-gen campaigns, launches, and industry moments with clear funnel-stage intent for every asset.
  • Run day-to-day content operations, build gated assets, nurture content, landing-page copy, and CTAs that capture and advance leads in partnership with the demand-gen team.
  • Track content performance in HubSpot (traffic-to-lead conversion, MQL/SQL volume, content-sourced and content-influenced pipeline) and report results and recommendations to marketing leadership.
  • Test and optimize headlines, formats, CTAs, and offers, and shift effort toward what generates the most qualified demand.

Produce and ship content through a hyper-growth phase

  • Personally write, edit, and ship high-impact thought leadership weekly, alongside tentpole white papers and research reports.
  • Turn Viral Nation’s proprietary social and creator data into data-driven listicles, rankings, and insight pieces.
  • Capitalize on cultural and industry moments in real time with a point of view on what is happening in influencer and social marketing.
  • Repurpose and redistribute high-performing assets, refresh high-potential content, and improve CTAs to keep output flowing while longer-form programs are in production.

Distribution, brand, and team

  • Partner with the AEO/GEO and SEO leads to optimize content for search and AI-driven discovery, distribute it through web, blog, email, and gated assets, and hand finished pieces to the owned social team for LinkedIn and other platforms.
  • Keep messaging consistent with brand guidelines and editorial standards across every asset.
  • Manage and mentor the two content contributors plus a freelance/agency bench, setting priorities, assigning work, and editing for quality.
  • Lead the team’s weekly rhythm: run planning and review sessions, remove blockers, give regular feedback, and hold the team accountable to deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Hands-on, current fluency with AI content tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) and experience using AI-assisted workflows to scale content production while protecting brand voice and quality.
  • 4–7 years in content marketing including experience owning content as a lead-generation channel; agency, B2B, or high-growth environment preferred.
  • Track record of using content to drive measurable results: traffic-to-lead conversion, MQL/SQL growth, and content-influenced pipeline.
  • Experience running content operations in a project management platform (e.g., Monday.com, Asana) and keeping a lean team on schedule.
  • Strong writer and editor who can personally produce executive-grade thought leadership at speed.
  • People-leadership experience managing writers and freelance/agency resources.
  • Working knowledge of SEO and marketing automation/CRM (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Data-driven, funnel-minded, and comfortable being accountable to lead-gen metrics.

This role has an annual salary range of $100,00 to $125,000.

This range reflects the full scope and progression of the role, from building capability to operating with sustained impact at a higher level. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits and total rewards package designed to support our team as they grow with us.

Where an offer falls within this range is determined through the interview process. Candidates are benchmarked by the hiring team based on role scope, relevant experience, skill alignment, and expected impact, using consistent and objective criteria.

Compensation Philosophy:

At Viral Nation, compensation is structured, performance-led, and market-aligned. Pay decisions are intentional, based on role requirements, performance, and market alignment by country, and are set to maintain internal pay equity across comparable roles and levels.
