Requisition ID: 275901

Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.

The Role:

As Senior Manager, Digital Channel Performance, you will lead the measurement and optimization of digital sales and channel performance across assigned Canadian Banking products, customer journeys, programs and campaigns.

You will combine hands-on analytics and sound business judgment to independently access and analyze data, translating complex information into clear insights and recommendations. Your work will identify growth opportunities, reduce friction in customer journeys, improve digital sales and strengthen channel effectiveness.

As part of Scotiabank’s Digital Performance team, you will partner with Product, Marketing, Analytics, Finance, Risk, Engineering, Fraud and business teams to understand performance, influence priorities and support strategic decision-making. You will also play an important role in annual planning, executive reporting and building strong performance-management practices across Digital.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

Digital Performance Optimization

  • Lead performance management across assigned digital products, customer journeys, channels and tracking results against annual targets, forecasts and strategic business objectives.
  • Diagnose customer journey friction, funnel drop-offs and underperforming areas, identifying root causes and recommending actions to improve customer and business outcomes.
  • Evaluate the impact of digital initiatives, campaigns and product enhancements on customer behaviour, digital adoption, sales performance and return on investment.

Executive Insights and Planning

  • Translate complex data and analysis into clear, executive-ready insights that explain what is happening, why it matters and what actions should be taken.
  • Lead the development of performance narratives for monthly and quarterly business reviews, scorecards, planning forums, performance committees and senior leadership updates.
  • Support annual planning and in-year performance management through performance outlooks, initiative impact assessments and data-driven recommendations.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a trusted performance partner across Product, Marketing, Analytics, Finance, Risk, Fraud, Engineering, Digital and business teams.
  • Use credible performance evidence to influence roadmap priorities, journey improvements, campaign optimization and business decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with partners and senior leaders to align on performance drivers, definitions of success, key risks and required actions.

Data Analysis, KPIs and Reporting

  • Develop and maintain reporting that enables the Digital Performance team and its business partners to make timely decisions without relying exclusively on downstream analytics support.
  • Establish and continuously improve KPI frameworks, performance measures, data definitions and reporting methodologies for assigned digital products and customer journeys.
  • Partner with Analytics, Data Engineering, Product and business teams to address data quality issues, reporting gaps, methodology inconsistencies and source-system limitations.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and scale reporting processes to provide faster access to actionable insights.

People Leadership

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team by setting clear priorities, providing coaching and feedback, building capability and supporting career development.
  • Strengthen the team’s capabilities in data analysis, performance storytelling, stakeholder management, executive communication and strategic influence.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative and accountable culture in which team members are encouraged to share ideas, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities for improvement.

Risk, Controls and Scotiabank Values

  • Lead day-to-day activities in alignment with the Bank’s risk culture, risk appetite, policies, regulatory requirements and business controls.
  • Ensure the team operates in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, Global Sales Principles and relevant operational, compliance, AML/ATF, sanctions, conduct and reputational-risk obligations.
  • Ensure performance recommendations and business decisions appropriately balance growth, customer experience, controls and risk considerations.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture that deepens client relationships and uses the Bank’s broader relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Promote an inclusive and high-performance environment grounded in accountability, passion, integrity and respect.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • At least seven years of professional experience in digital performance, analytics, product performance, business performance management, strategy or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify performance drivers, diagnose root causes, evaluate trade-offs and recommend practical solutions.
  • Experience supporting executive-level performance reporting, business reviews and strategic decision-making.
  • Experience using performance reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Adobe Analytics, Excel and enterprise data platforms.
  • Strong hands-on SQL and Python skills, with the ability to independently access, analyze and manipulate data to generate performance reporting and actionable insights. Experience working with Big Data and cloud-based technologies such as GCP, Spark and Hive is a Plus.
  • Strong people-leadership experience, including coaching, prioritization, stakeholder management, capability building and the development of high-performing teams.
