Make an Impact as a Senior Project Manager at Worldwide

Take ownership of complex Phase I–IV clinical trials and lead them from start-up through close-out. As a Senior Project Manager at Worldwide, you’ll be accountable for bringing together the people, plans, and resources needed to deliver successful local, regional, or global studies.

You’ll combine clinical project leadership with financial and operational oversight, partnering with cross-functional teams to solve challenges, manage risk, and keep programs aligned with client expectations for time, quality, and cost.

As a key client contact, you’ll also build strong relationships with client teams and vendors while creating an environment where multidisciplinary project teams can perform at their best.

Where You'll Work

This is a remote role open to candidates based in United States. You will collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones. Ability to travel 10% is required.

What You'll Do

  • Lead core and extended cross-functional project teams, coordinating internal partners, clients, vendors, and subcontractors across assigned clinical trials.
  • Manage Phase I–IV clinical trials from start-up through close-out, maintaining accountability for project scope, timelines, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, resource strategies, and contingency plans to support successful study execution.
  • Drive financial performance by managing project budgets and working toward established financial targets.
  • Partner with functional leads to evaluate complex project issues, interpret information, make sound business decisions, and implement effective solutions.
  • Build strong client relationships as a key project contact, maintaining clear communication and helping ensure client expectations are met.
  • Resolve project and team challenges through effective communication, negotiation, prioritization, and conflict management.
  • Improve the efficiency and quality of project delivery while ensuring teams operate in accordance with established clinical research standards and SOPs.

What You'll Bring

  • A university or college degree, preferably in life sciences, or certification in a related allied health profession such as nursing, medical technology, or laboratory technology; an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and capabilities will also be considered.
  • At least 7 years of clinical pharmaceutical industry experience, including demonstrated clinical project management skills and competencies; alternatively, more than 5 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting plus 6 years of clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical or CRO industries.
  • Demonstrated success managing or leading multidisciplinary project teams, with thorough knowledge of project management processes and experience using project management software.
  • Strong financial acumen, including an understanding of how to develop and manage project budgets, alongside effective negotiation and commercial skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of ICH Guidelines and GCP, including international regulatory requirements for clinical development programs, and broad knowledge of the drug development process.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, prioritization, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively across cultures.
  • Proficiency in English, written and verbal, as well as fluency in the local office language.
  • Availability for domestic and international travel, including overnight stays, with a valid current passport and a valid driver’s license.
