The Role
As our Site Surveyor, you will be the eyes and ears of our production and installation teams. You’ll visit client sites to capture the precise data needed to turn creative concepts into physical reality. Your mission is to ensure every measurement is perfect, every obstruction is noted, and every installation plan is foolproof.
Why Sticky Media?
- Work on diverse, high-visibility projects for top-tier brands.
- A collaborative shop environment where "that's impossible" isn't in our vocabulary.
- Your work is the foundation of some of our biggest projects.
- Competitive Salary, Health Plan and bi-weekly pay by direct deposit.
- Staff events.
- One stop shop–we build it all onsite.
- Summer hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed site surveys for various signage types (illuminated channel letters, pylons, wayfinding, and interior graphics).
- Evaluate wall types, mounting surfaces, and structural integrity to determine the best installation methods.
- Produce clear, accurate site reports, including hand-sketched or digital layouts and comprehensive photo documentation.
- Identify site-specific requirements for local zoning and electrical codes.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Designers to flag potential "red zones" or structural challenges early in the process.
What you will bring to the table:
- Proficiency with laser measures, levels, and digital cameras. Experience with aerial lifts or bucket trucks is a major plus.
- You can read blueprints and architectural drawings like a second language.
- You don’t just see a wall; you see the HVAC lines, the uneven stucco, and the lack of an electrical junction box—and you have a plan for it.
- Ability to represent the company professionally when interacting with property managers and general contractors.
- Comfortable climbing ladders, working at heights, and being on your feet in various weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in the sign industry, construction, or commercial glazing.
- Familiarity with software like Adobe Illustrator or CAD (to overlay survey data) a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
Fluency in English is required for this position as more than 50% of the company's business is conducted outside of Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate daily with clients, suppliers, and financial institutions outside the province.
