Job description

Get started on an exciting career at Element!

Element employees make a difference in the lives of others every day. We are re-defining the fleet management industry to be people first, then business – delivering on our promise of a superior client experience. This takes hard work and innovation, and we need more like-minded people on our team.

Transform finance processes through automation, AI, and actionable data insights.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Finance teams need effective processes, reliable information, and practical tools to make better decisions. As Senior Finance Process Excellence and Automation Analyst, you will help modernize how work gets done across Element’s finance shared services environment.

You will identify opportunities to simplify and standardize workflows, develop automation and AI-enabled solutions, and turn data into insights that strengthen efficiency, controls, and business performance. From discovery through implementation, you will partner with finance and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver measurable improvements and support adoption of new ways of working.

This is an opportunity to combine hands-on technical delivery with business problem-solving, stakeholder partnership, and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

  • Identify and prioritize finance process improvements by analysing workflows, challenges, and opportunities to simplify, standardize, digitize, and automate work.
  • Lead the delivery of intelligent automation, AI, reporting, and workflow solutions, from requirements and design through development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Build and enhance solutions using Alteryx, Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, AI-enabled tools, and other relevant platforms to reduce manual work and improve data quality and consistency.
  • Develop dashboards, key performance indicators, exception reporting, and analysis that translate financial and operational data into actionable business insights.
  • Measure the impact of initiatives, including efficiency improvements, stronger controls, process quality, and other business outcomes.
  • Engage stakeholders across finance and the broader business, communicate progress and risks, coordinate decisions, and maintain momentum across projects.
  • Document requirements, processes, standard operating procedures, and user guidance; support change management, adoption, and ongoing solution refinement.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and share knowledge to help finance teams adopt effective, responsible approaches to automation and AI.

YOU SHOULD CONSIDER THIS ROLE IF:

You bring finance process knowledge, hands-on automation and analytics skills, and the ability to move improvement initiatives from idea to implementation.

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, data analytics, information systems, business, or a related field.
  • You have 4-6 years of experience in business process engineering, finance transformation, top-tier management consulting, or a data, automation, or business intelligence analyst role supporting finance or related functions.
  • You have experience in finance or financial services and understand finance processes, operational workflows, and business drivers.
  • You have demonstrated experience simplifying, standardizing, digitizing, and automating processes to improve efficiency, controls, quality, and stakeholder experience.
  • You have hands-on Alteryx experience, which is required, as well as hands-on experience with automation, reporting, and analytics tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, and SQL.
  • You have strong knowledge of databases and querying tools, including SQL, Snowflake, and similar platforms, and experience with data extraction, transformation, analysis, and visualization.
  • You have practical exposure to AI tools and AI-enabled capabilities in business, analytics, or process improvement.
  • You can gather requirements, translate business needs into technology-enabled solutions, and support end-to-end delivery, including testing, implementation, and post-implementation support.
  • You bring strong analytical, root cause analysis, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • You can coordinate multiple priorities independently and collaborate effectively with finance, operations, technology, and senior stakeholders.

Preferred experience includes working in a finance process improvement centre of excellence; intelligent automation, low-code/no-code, robotic process automation, or digital transformation; AI-enabled workflow improvements; KPI dashboards and performance reporting; data cleansing; SAP S/4HANA or similar enterprise systems; and change management, training, or adoption support.

YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO TELL US

  • How you identified and delivered a finance process improvement or automation opportunity, and what measurable benefit it created.
  • About an automation, AI, or analytics solution you helped take from business requirements through implementation and support.
  • How you used data analysis, dashboards, or exception reporting to uncover a problem and influence a business decision.
  • How you coordinated stakeholders with different priorities, handled project risks, and supported adoption of a new tool or process.
