Job description

Who we are:

Financeit is a point-of-sale financing provider serving some of the largest home improvement and retail organizations in Canada. Our platform helps businesses close more sales by offering customers affordable monthly payment options for their next big home improvement, vehicle or retail purchase.

We are small enough that you can make an impact within the company and large enough to make an impact in the market. Financeit is a company where collaboration, inclusivity, fairness, and respect aren’t just ideas that get talked about, but are part of who we are. If such a workplace intrigues you, we hope you’ll join us.

About the role:

As our Talent Acquisition Specialist, you won't just be filling seats - you will be the first point of contact for candidates and play a pivotal role in driving our growth by finding and attracting top talent to Financeit.

Reporting to the Senior Talent Partner, you will own the day-to-day, full-cycle recruitment process across departments. This is a hands-on role where your energy, exceptional organization skills, and passion for candidate experience will directly shape our team and company culture.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage the end-to-end full-cycle recruitment process for roles across the organization (i.e. Sales, Operations, Engineering, Finance, etc.).
  • Ensure every candidate has a positive, transparent, and engaging experience from their initial application to the offer and onboarding stage.
  • Research our competitors and target companies to identify high-performing talent aligned with our team and company goals.
  • Actively promote and engage passive talent through creative channels to build a diverse pipeline for current and future openings.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers and conduct hiring intake calls to understand their hiring needs, assist in drafting job postings, and supporting them through the interview process.
  • Own the integrity of our Applicant Tracking System (Workable) and internal recruiting and onboarding trackers, ensuring applicant records are up to date and tracking key hiring metrics.
  • Own the onboarding process including organizing employment agreements, initiating and filing background checks, coordinating details with IT, and conducting the new hire orientation session.
  • Assist with or lead exciting initiatives on our roadmap, such as employer branding campaigns and optimizing our onboarding experience.

Who you are:

  • You love connecting with people and naturally build trust with candidates and internal hiring managers.
  • You can seamlessly manage multiple open positions at once without letting details slip through the crack.
  • You are motivated by finding the perfect match for open roles, which means getting to know roles in such detail as if you were the hiring manager
  • You can guide conversations with hiring teams to support the best hiring decisions and advise on recruitment strategies, while having a knack for pushing things forward

Requirements

  • You have 3 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, ideally in-house recruitment
  • You are proficient with learning and using ATS platforms and HRIS systems, and you know how to leverage them to create a seamless candidate experience (e.g. Workable, BambooHR, Slack, Google Workspace)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to pitch our culture and role impact effectively, and are proactive, clear, and timely with updates
  • Ability to handle sensitive candidate information and hiring manager feedback with confidentiality and professionalism
