Job description

Village Farms International (Nasdaq: VFF) is a vertically integrated global leader in cannabis and plant-based consumer packaged goods, driven by sustainable innovation. As one of North America's longest-standing produce operators built on decades of expertise, we're a company where growers, innovators, and creators come together to shape the future of high-performing plant-based brands around the world.

Joining Village Farms means joining a global team built on purpose, integrity, and ambition. Here, we grow people, ideas, and possibilities.

The Opportunity

As a Team Lead, Warehouse, you’ll play a key role in keeping our distribution floor running safely, on schedule, and to spec, from customer orders to the materials that keep production moving. Your work will directly support the Logistics & Supply Chain team while contributing to the broader Village Farms mission of leading a sustainable path forward for global cannabis.

What You'll Do

Floor Leadership

  • Work directly on the floor with the team for the full shift, translating and delegating tasks assigned by the Supervisor and keeping the team on schedule and on task.
  • Verify task completion and correct product and lot handling before hand-off, and flag safety, quality, or equipment issues immediately.

Compliance & Training

  • Enforce GMP practices in real time on the floor, from gowning and hygiene to correct lot and SKU handling and PPE use.
  • Train new team members on specific tasks as they rotate in, and act as the bilingual link between supervision and a multilingual floor team.

Distribution & Order Fulfillment

  • Lead the team picking retail and wholesale orders, keeping pace with volume and shipping deadlines.
  • Pick and stage the materials production needs at D3, and be the go-to person on distribution floor status.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties and support evolving business priorities as assigned

What You Bring

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, production, or logistics environment, ideally in a regulated (GMP/cannabis) setting; prior experience directing or training other workers is an asset.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Bilingual (English plus a second language relevant to the floor team) strongly preferred, to translate instructions and safety information for a multilingual workforce.

Life at Village Farms

  • At Village Farms International, you're part of something bigger — a global organization where you can grow your career across brands, functions, and countries.
  • We believe It Takes A Village®, and we mean it.
  • Our values guide every decision we make: Versatility | Innovation | Leadership | Loyalty | Accountability | Grit | Entrepreneurship
  • What you do here matters — to our people, our products, and the customers we serve around the world.
  • We've got you covered with company-paid comprehensive benefits and education assistance to support your continued growth.
  • We embrace meaningful opportunities, collaboration, and continuous improvement as we expand our global footprint.
