As the face of technology onboarding, you will play an important role in welcoming new employees and ensuring they have a positive, engaging learning experience from their very first day. You’ll deliver training to a variety of professionals, both in person and virtually across Western Canada.

This role offers a great balance of hands-on training delivery, instructional content development, and relationship-building within a collaborative national technology team.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead engaging and interactive technology onboarding sessions for new employees, creating a welcoming and positive first-day experience.
  • Deliver in-person and virtual training to employees across Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton, adapting your approach to different roles and technical abilities.
  • Facilitate ongoing workshops and learning sessions covering Microsoft 365, Teams, Copilot, document management systems, and other business applications.
  • Build strong relationships with new employees, becoming a trusted point of contact for technology questions, guidance, and ongoing learning support.
  • Proactively follow up with new hires to ensure they feel comfortable and confident using the organization’s systems.
  • Develop, refresh, and maintain training materials, including user guides, presentations, instructional videos, and quick-reference resources.
  • Create engaging digital learning content using instructional design tools and modern learning techniques.
  • Maintain and update learning resources within the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS) and intranet.
  • Support the introduction and adoption of new technologies, including AI-powered tools and evolving digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues and subject matter experts to understand upcoming technology changes and identify training needs.
  • Gather feedback from employees to continuously improve learning experiences and training effectiveness.
  • Provide occasional basic onsite IT support when needed, working collaboratively with the local Service Desk team.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in technology training, learning and development, instructional design, or a related field.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to make training interactive, approachable, and engaging.
  • A naturally outgoing, personable, and professional communication style, with strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams, Copilot, and common workplace technology applications.
  • Familiarity with document management systems, CRM platforms, PDF tools, and learning management systems.
  • Experience creating instructional materials, videos, or digital learning content using tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Captivate, or similar platforms.
  • Interest or experience in generative AI, emerging technologies, and modern learning approaches.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and explain technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of experience.
  • Strong customer service skills, patience, adaptability, and a willingness to support others.
  • Previous experience in a law firm or professional services environment is a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with instructional design methodologies, change management, or French language skills is an asset.
