Job description

Are you passionate about supporting Indigenous communities and building culturally safe, respectful relationships with people experiencing homelessness and housing instability?

The Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness Society (ACEH) is seeking an Outreach Program Coordinator to support the delivery of culturally safe, community-based services through our Community Access and Indigenous Support (CAIS) program in Port Hardy.

The Outreach Program Coordinator will build meaningful relationships with Family Members, provide practical and housing-related support, coordinate community programming and outreach initiatives, and support Indigenous Street Family through culturally grounded, holistic services.

Working closely with Family Members, community partners, and the CAIS team, this position will help connect individuals and families with housing, basic needs, community resources, cultural programming, and other supports that promote wellness, stability, and connection.

Who We Are

The Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness Society is an Indigenous-led, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Our work centres the voices, experiences, and strengths of our Indigenous Street Community, whom we refer to as our Family Members. We provide culturally supportive housing, harm reduction, cultural support services, outreach, and housing-related programs while working to address the systemic and structural barriers that contribute to homelessness.
