As a cybersecurity solutions and services company, we help clients build resilience through innovation, collaboration, and care. We’re committed to fostering a workplace where our values are lived daily, our team members thrive, and collective genius powers everything we do.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Account Manager to join our sales team. In this role, you’ll manage an assigned portfolio of clients, strengthen trusted relationships, and drive revenue growth through retention, expansion, and strategic account development.

As the primary relationship owner for your clients, you’ll align customer priorities with iON’s cybersecurity services and solutions, identify opportunities for growth, and help position iON as a strategic cybersecurity partner.

This position is open to candidates based in Calgary, Vancouver, or Winnipeg.

What You’ll Do

As an Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for growing client relationships, identifying strategic opportunities, and supporting strong customer outcomes. In this role, you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with key decision-makers and maintain regular, meaningful customer engagement.
  • Conduct account reviews, strategic planning sessions, and business reviews to understand client needs and growth opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for solution expansion, service growth, renewals, and strategic account development.
  • Lead discovery conversations and align client objectives with cybersecurity solutions, managed services, and professional services.
  • Build business cases and value-driven recommendations that connect iON’s offerings to client outcomes.
  • Support contract renewals, negotiations, proposal development, and opportunity progression from identification through closure.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline reporting, account plans, and opportunity information using CRM and sales forecasting tools.
  • Coordinate internal teams, vendors, and alliance partners to support successful client outcomes and strengthen solution offerings.
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally and share client insights to improve sales strategy and service delivery.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who brings strong relationship management skills, sales discipline, business acumen, and a consultative approach to helping clients solve complex challenges. Ideally, you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, technology sales, cybersecurity sales, or professional services sales.
  • Demonstrated success managing client relationships and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong account planning, opportunity management, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Experience conducting discovery conversations and developing solution-based recommendations.
  • An understanding of cybersecurity, cloud, managed services, or professional services environments.
  • Strong presentation, communication, influencing, collaboration, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Experience working with CRM and sales forecasting tools.
  • A high level of accountability, emotional intelligence, and commitment to delivering strong client outcomes.

Why Work at iON

At iON, we are proud to offer:

  • A culture that values trust, clarity, care, and connection
  • Flexible work arrangements and strong support for work-life integration
  • Paid time and resources for professional development, training, and certification
  • Opportunities to contribute to meaningful client work in a fast-growing industry
  • A supportive, team driven environment where you can grow your career
