This role is responsible for leading the accounts receivable team, ensuring timely collections and cash application, supporting established credit and collections processes, and providing accurate reporting on receivables activity. The position is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing team members, resolving customer billing issues, and partnering cross-functionally to support efficient business operations.

  • Collections and Cash Application

  • Oversee the accounts receivable operations, including collections on past due accounts, worldwide cash receipt processing, and cash application.
  • Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and manage escalations related to aged and outstanding balances.
  • Resolve complex billing issues and discrepancies, and act as the escalation point for disputed accounts.
  • Oversee the accounts receivable inbox and ensure timely response to internal and external inquiries.
  • Ensure third party customer portal registrations are maintained and invoices are delivered through the required channels.
  • Credit Management

  • Administer established credit processes and support customer credit reviews in accordance with company policies and approval requirements.
  • Review customer credit information and provide recommendations regarding credit limits and payment terms in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Partner with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Legal to support credit reviews and address customer account concerns in accordance with established approval processes.
  • Monitor customer balances and collection activity, identifying and escalating potential credit concerns when appropriate.
  • Track and report on credit and collections metrics, escalating significant concerns to Finance leadership
  • Close and Reporting

  • Deliver accounts receivable close activities, including cash and receivable reconciliations, and preparation and posting of journal entries.
  • Monitor accounts receivable metrics and provide reporting and analysis to support collections activities and operational decision-making.
  • Partner with external auditors on receivable and revenue-related testing, providing narrative support and timely evidence.
  • Operational Excellence

  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy across the order-to-cash cycle.
  • Support system implementations and enhancements related to ERP, billing, collections, and workflow tools.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Revenue Operations, and Customer Success to resolve billing discrepancies and address the root causes of disputes.
  • Act as a company representative in upholding quality customer service and a positive company image when resolving customer account inquiries.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive credit and collections experience, including at least 2 years leading a team.
  • Experience overseeing accounts receivable operations within a multi-entity and/or multi-currency environment.
  • Experience managing collection activities and supporting improvements in collection effectiveness and customer payment performance.
  • Demonstrated experience operating within a controlled close environment, with a clear understanding of documentation standards, review requirements, and audit evidence.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large, detailed datasets in support of reconciliations and audit requests.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the judgment to hold firm collections conversations while protecting the customer relationship.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and sound judgment required to operate effectively in a high growth, scaling technology environment.

Indicators of Success

We’re looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes listed in “skills and experiences”. It’s more important to us to find candidates who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experiences they have been a part of, than to find folks who have “been there, done that”. These in-person moments help us build stronger connections, spark new ideas, and celebrate our successes together. Most days, you can choose what works best for you, while staying in tune with your team’s goals.

We’re excited to welcome you to our team and look forward to achieving great things together - both in the office and wherever you work best!
