Are you a passionate, Christ-centred leader who believes in the power of recovery, second chances, and helping individuals build a better future?

Ruth & Naomi's Mission is seeking an experienced and compassionate Associate Director of Recovery to provide strategic and operational leadership across our Men's and Women's Recovery Programs.

This is an opportunity to lead meaningful, faith-based recovery services while developing strong teams, strengthening program outcomes, and fostering an environment where individuals can experience hope, healing, and lasting transformation.

Working closely with Recovery Managers, the Intake Coordinator, and the Director of Programming, you'll be responsible for ensuring our recovery programs remain effective, consistent, and grounded in our Christian mission and values.

You'll also play an important role in supporting the development and future launch of detox services as we continue expanding our continuum of care.

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across RAN's Men's and Women's Recovery Programs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Recovery Managers, fostering accountability, collaboration, and a healthy team culture.
  • Oversee program quality, participant outcomes, occupancy targets, and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with the Intake Coordinator to strengthen referrals, admissions, and participant transitions.
  • Monitor program data, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure accurate departmental reporting.
  • Support Recovery Managers in addressing complex participant situations and maintaining consistent standards of care.
  • Support the planning and launch of future detox services, including operational planning, staffing, and program integration, with ongoing oversight once established.
  • Collaborate with Finance and organizational leadership on budgeting, resource planning, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable licensing, safety standards, and organizational policies.
  • Build strong relationships with community partners and external service providers.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Behavioural Sciences, Social Services, Addiction Studies, or a related field required; master's degree preferred.
  • Significant leadership experience in addiction recovery, residential treatment, or related social services.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising managers, developing teams, and overseeing program operations.
  • Strong understanding of addiction recovery, trauma-informed care, recovery capital, and participant-centred programming.
  • Experience with program development, performance measurement, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication, conflict-resolution, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance compassionate leadership with operational accountability and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience leading or supporting Christian faith-based recovery programming considered an asset.

Faith & Mission

Ruth & Naomi's Mission is a Christian faith-based organization committed to walking alongside people on a journey of recovery, demonstrating the love of Jesus.

This position is designated as a Bona Fide Occupational Requirement (BFOR) role. The successful candidate must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrate a commitment to living a Christ-centred life, and be willing to sign and uphold Ruth & Naomi's Mission's Statement of Faith.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $80,000–$85,000 annually, dependent on experience.
  • Employer-paid extended health benefits following successful completion of probation.
  • RRSP matching program following successful completion of probation.
  • Education, training, and professional development opportunities.

This is an on-site leadership position based in Chilliwack, with travel between RAN locations and additional hours as required to meet operational needs.

Why Join Us?

At Ruth & Naomi's Mission, we believe in second chances, the value of every person, and the power of hope.

As the Associate Director of Recovery, you'll have the opportunity to lead programs that support individuals on their journeys toward recovery, stability, and independence while helping build a strong team culture.

You'll also contribute to the future growth of our recovery services, helping create new opportunities for individuals seeking healing and a fresh start.
