  • Lead prospecting, client meetings, proposals, and commercial discussions
  • Maintain an active, accurate sales pipeline
  • Represent Contract Professionals at industry events and client meetings

  • Make recommendations to management regarding programs, processes, etc. to increase Contract Professionals’ competitiveness in the marketplace
  • Serve as a resource or mentor to others on the team
  • Lead projects that help increase the team’s effectiveness

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • 5–10+ years of business development, account management, or relevant industry experience (the strength of your network, market knowledge, and results will be weighed heavily)
  • Business development or account management experience within engineering, oil and gas, technical, or industrial staffing
  • An established network across Canadian upstream, midstream, EPCM, fabrication, construction, or industrial organizations
  • A demonstrated ability to reactivate accounts, secure new clients, and develop profitable relationships
  • Experience working with owner-operators, EPCM firms, fabricators, contractors, or industrial service providers
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
  • A self-directed, entrepreneurial approach to building and managing a sales pipeline

Additional experience preferred, but not required:

  • Understanding of contract staffing, payroll services, permanent recruitment, or workforce solutions
  • Relationship-building experience at an upstream or midstream owner-operator, pipeline contractor, NDE provider, or EPCM firm
