We believe in empowering our people, fostering a culture of growth, and creating opportunities for meaningful careers as we build the mines of the future.

The Business Improvement Lead coordinates continuous improvement initiatives across the McIlvenna Bay Operation to improve performance, productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness. Working with site leaders and support teams, the role prioritizes opportunities, tracks progress and results, and supports a culture of accountability, data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.

  • Develop improvement plans with clear objectives, timelines, accountabilities and measurable outcomes.
  • Coordinate annual site goals with leaders, including objectives, performance measures and accountabilities.
  • Track progress against goals and initiatives, identify gaps and barriers, and drive follow-up actions to achieve targets.
  • Maintain systems to document initiatives, milestones, actions and results, and ensure benefits are measured and sustained.
  • Develop performance indicators, dashboards and reporting processes, and analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate regular performance reviews and improvement meetings, and prepare concise reports and presentations for site leadership.
  • Build relationships across departments, share best practices and communicate improvement priorities, progress and achievements.
  • Drive progress through coordination and influence while functional leaders retain ownership of implementation and results.
  • Facilitate meetings that produce clear decisions, assigned actions and timely follow-up.
  • Promote continuous improvement, accountability, collaboration and employee involvement.
  • Support the adoption of new processes, systems and ways of working through change management that encourages employee engagement.
  • Develop and maintain improvement tools, templates, visual management systems and standard processes.
  • Coach leaders and employees in continuous improvement practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve communication, coordination and business processes across departments.

Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the mining industry, with time spent in business improvement and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable improvements.
  • Strong experience facilitating meetings, workshops and structured problem-solving activities.
  • Understanding of operational performance management, KPI development and improvement tracking.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen or similar continuous improvement methodologies is an asset.
  • Experience with change management, project coordination and business process improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is an asset.
  • Experience in mining or mineral processing operations is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $135,000 - $150,000/year based on experience and qualifications, along with an annual discretionary short-term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.

  • Employer-paid health, dental, and vision Benefits – effective on start date
  • Life and disability insurance
  • RRSP with company match
  • Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) with company match
  • Camp-based position with travel support
