Continuous Improvement Specialist

You are naturally curious about how work gets done and constantly look for opportunities to make it better.

When you encounter a recurring problem, bottleneck, or inefficient process, you don't simply work around it. You seek to understand the root cause, collaborate with stakeholders, and implement sustainable improvements that make teams more effective.

You enjoy analyzing workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, and using a combination of process redesign, documentation, reporting, and automation to drive meaningful results. You understand that the best solutions are not always technical. Sometimes the greatest impact comes from clarifying responsibilities, improving procedures, eliminating unnecessary work, or providing better visibility into operational performance.

You are comfortable working with data and using it to tell a story. Whether you're developing dashboards, building KPIs, analyzing trends, or measuring the impact of process changes, you focus on creating actionable insights that support better decision-making.

You are a self-starter who enjoys tackling challenges independently while partnering closely with team leaders, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders. You take ownership of initiatives, communicate effectively, and drive improvements from idea through implementation.

This is a hands-on role reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Systems. You will work closely with Application Support teams and business stakeholders to identify operational bottlenecks, improve service delivery, increase team efficiency, and promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

You recognize that sustainable improvement requires more than technology. Documentation, measurement, governance, communication, and stakeholder engagement are just as important as automation.

  • Analyze support processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and simplification.
  • Develop APIs and scripts to help automate transfer of data between management and development systems.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve service delivery outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, workflows, standards, and operating procedures.
  • Establish baseline measurements and track improvement initiatives through meaningful performance metrics.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve team productivity and operational effectiveness.
  • Facilitate discussions and workshops to understand current-state processes and define future-state improvements.

Metrics, Reporting & Insights

  • Analyze service management, operational, and business data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create reporting that demonstrates the value and impact of improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and communicate key performance indicators to support decision-making and prioritization.
  • Partner with team leaders to establish meaningful measures of success and operational health.
  • Process Automation & Tool Optimization
  • Identify opportunities where automation can reduce manual effort, eliminate repetitive work, and improve consistency.
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions using technologies such as PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Improve workflows and integrations between business and technology systems to streamline operations.
  • Leverage Microsoft 365 technologies, AI capabilities, and internal business applications to improve productivity and service delivery.
  • Document automation solutions and establish sustainable support and maintenance processes.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize software utilization, licensing, and platform adoption.

Project Participation & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Participate in operational and technology improvement initiatives as a key contributor.
  • Collaborate with support teams, business stakeholders, and technology teams to understand challenges and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Translate operational challenges into practical, scalable solutions.
  • Manage multiple initiatives and priorities while maintaining clear communication and alignment with stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of assigned initiatives and drive them through to implementation and measurement.
  • Build strong working relationships across the organization and act as a trusted advisor on process improvement opportunities.
  • Share knowledge, best practices, and recommendations that contribute to broader organizational success.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and experience may be considered.
  • Experience analyzing business or operational processes and implementing measurable improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend practical solutions.
  • Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, reporting, and operational metrics.
  • Strong documentation and process mapping skills.
  • Experience with automation technologies such as PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, REST APIs, Microsoft 365, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with service management, operational support, or business process environments.
