Job description

Cyber Security Analyst, Defensive:

(Mat leave coverage for 18 months)

What it means to be a star

Without the stars that represent a team, a brand alone is incomplete.

Mercedes-Benz Canada represents not only the world’s oldest automotive brand, but one that is at the cutting-edge of sustainability, design, technology, fashion and popular culture.

The iconic three-pointed star is always looking for the best and brightest to support its growth as a true luxury brand.

We are seeking individuals who want to be in the driver’s seat of this transformation, working alongside talented colleagues who represent the Mercedes-Benz values and who are ready to add their talent to the brand’s ever-evolving story.

How your role will add to the story:

We are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst, Defensive, to join our Global Cyber Security team. This team monitors and proactively responds to any cyber threat, which materialized or might materialize at any company asset to prevent or minimize potential business, financial, or reputational impact. If you enjoy working with other professionals in the digital-first world where digitization and its effects are now reaching into every corner of our lives, we encourage you to apply.

A day in the life:

· Based on alert trigger, conduct technical analysis to determine impact, scope, and response actions.

· Analyze, process, and triage security threats to identify risk and impact by carrying out in-depth analysis of potential threats.

· Work closely with the Cyber Threat Intelligence team to enhance results of the analysis and provide additional context.

· Act as point of contact to end users and vendors through e-mail and phone.

· The role involves working one weekend per month; Saturday (12 hours) and Sunday (12 hours). Weekend shifts will be compensated for by three days off during the week.

Please note: The nature of this position is a technical security function, not a compliance function.

Vacancy Status: This posting reflects an approved, current vacancy and will be filled on a fixed-term contract basis for approximately 18 months.

Posting Range: $31.90 – $47.70 per hour

Mercedes-Benz Canada is committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and accessible environment where all employees and customers feel valued, respected, and supported. While we thank every applicant for their interest in joining our iconic brand, we will only contact applicants selected for an interview.

If you require accommodation because of a disability, please reach out to [email protected] and we will work with you to meet your needs throughout the recruitment, assessment, and selection process as applicable.
