Job Description

Overview

The Digital Solutions Procurement Systems and Smart Materials Analyst supports, administers, and enhances Hexagon Smart Materials and related procurement and materials management solutions. The role combines functional knowledge of EPC procurement with hands-on application configuration, technical support, data management, reporting, testing, and integration coordination.

Working closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Project Controls, Site Operations, Finance, and IT, the analyst helps maintain secure and reliable systems, resolve operational issues, deliver controlled enhancements, and improve procurement and materials management processes.

This role supports procurement and materials management systems used throughout engineering and capital project delivery, helping ensure efficient and reliable processes from material identification and procurement through receiving, inventory management, and site execution.

The ideal candidate has experience in procurement, supply chain operations, and business systems administration. They possess a strong understanding of EPC or capital project procurement lifecycles and can effectively bridge business requirements with technical solutions, including system configuration, integrations, reporting, and process automation.

Your role

  • Administer and support Smart Materials environments, including user access, security, configurations, system health, upgrades, change management, and deployment governance.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 application support, gather business requirements, coordinate enhancements, troubleshoot issues, develop documentation, and deliver user training.
  • Configure and enhance Smart Materials functionality, reports, dashboards, and automated processes to improve efficiency and support procurement and materials management activities.
  • Maintain data integrity across materials, catalogs, BOMs, procurement transactions, and reference data while supporting integrations with Oracle ERP, Power BI, Smart 3D, and other connected systems.
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, governance, and records-management requirements through access controls, segregation of duties, audit logging, and configuration standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives including upgrades, migrations, module implementations, KPI tracking, process standardization, and new project onboarding to enhance platform reliability and business performance.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of the Hexagon ecosystem, including Smart Reference Data (SRD) and Smart 3D integrations.
  • Experience with PowerShell or Python scripting for automation and data management.
  • Experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, or similar relational databases, including SQL-based troubleshooting, reporting, and data management.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering, procurement, supply chain, warehousing, and materials management processes, particularly within EPC project environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Smart Materials or comparable platforms such as SAP MM, Oracle Procurement, IFS, or other materials management systems, including application configuration and support.
  • Proven ability to manage system enhancements, incident resolution, testing, release management, and change control within regulated environments while translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, training, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Procurement, Engineering, Finance, and IT teams.
