Job description

Knix is an award-winning intimate apparel and activewear brand that is re-inventing intimates for real life. Through our innovative products and our engaged community, we are empowering people everywhere to be unapologetically free. Launched in 2013, we are one of the fastest-growing intimate apparel brands in North America and are globally recognized as an innovator within the apparel space. We reach over 3 million customers through our online stores, Knix retail locations across North America and channels such as wholesale and Amazon. We are revolutionizing the apparel industry with our best-in-class customer experience, innovative products and brands Knix, Kt by Knix, and Mntd. Come join us if you are looking for a purpose-driven and authentic career!

Knix is looking for a Director, Merchandising to lead the merchandising strategy and business across our three brands: Knix, Kt by Knix and MNTD.

Reporting to the VP, Merchandising, Planning & Allocations, this role will lead merchandising across Wholesale, Retail, E-commerce and Amazon, with responsibility for driving sales, margin, inventory and overall business performance.

We are looking for a strong merchant and business leader who can balance the day-to-day needs of the business with a clear view of where we need to go next. This person will identify opportunities across categories, channels and brands, build assortments that meet customer needs, and make decisions based on both data and strong merchant instinct.

The Director will work closely with Product, Brand, Marketing, Planning & Allocations, Retail, Wholesale and E-commerce to ensure we have the right product, in the right channel, at the right time.

About You

  • You are an experienced merchandising leader with 7+ years of experience, ideally in DTC, apparel or intimate apparel.
  • You have experience leading a business across multiple channels and understand the differences between Wholesale, Retail, E-commerce and Amazon.
  • You think like a business owner and understand the connection between sales, margin, inventory and profitability.
  • You are equally comfortable looking at the big picture and getting into the details of a category, style, channel or business issue.
  • You use data to make decisions, but don't rely on data alone. You bring strong customer and merchant intuition to the business.
  • You are able to spot trends, identify whitespace and turn opportunities into action.
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change.
  • You are a strong people leader who knows how to build, develop and retain a high-performing team.
  • You build strong relationships across functions and are comfortable influencing decisions outside of your immediate team.
  • You have a strong understanding of the customer and a genuine interest in the Knix brands.

  • Partner with Planning & Allocations to manage inventory investment, receipts and in-season opportunities.
  • Identify new categories, products, channels and other opportunities to drive future growth.
  • Build differentiated assortments that reflect the customer, positioning and commercial needs of each brand.
  • Channel & Product
  • Lead merchandising across Wholesale, Retail, E-commerce and Amazon, adapting assortments and strategies to the needs of each channel.
