We are seeking a Director, Restaurant Technology Deployments and Tech Operations to lead the rollout and adoption of innovative technology solutions across our Canada and US restaurant network.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of end-to-end technology deployments—from point-of-sale systems, Kiosks, network infrastructure and operations, to back-of-house innovations in IoT—driving operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and business growth. They partner closely with Product, Engineering, Restaurant Operations, and Tech Support to ensure restaurant technologies are deployed successfully and built for scale, stability, and support readiness.

Who you are:

  • Familiar with QSR, Retail or Hospitality operations and fast-paced customer servicing environments.
  • Knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems, Networking, Back-Office systems, inventory and supply chain processes.
  • Experience developing project roadmaps, deploying enhancements, executing change management, and working cross-functionally to ensure a seamless and timely execution.
  • Curious achiever to gather peer feedback and industry trends to inform technical decisions.
  • Experience in understanding and prioritizing user needs and the intersection of technology to deliver positive business results.
  • Skilled in project management to oversee and manage all aspects of solution evaluation and execution to ensure it is successful.

What you will do:

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and lead the deployment strategy for Tim Hortons restaurant technology across the system, including new restaurant builds, retrofits and strategic rollouts, ensuring alignment with brand priorities and enterprise goals.
  • Oversee a team of project managers and infrastructure SMEs responsible for installation readiness, vendor coordination, and deployment timelines.
  • Responsible for technology lifecycle planning and execution, identifying opportunities to consolidate work, reduce cost and disruption, and support future needs.
  • Lead accountability for delivering technology solutions on time, on budget, and with measurable value to operations and guests.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define deployment standards, system readiness criteria, and field success metrics, including product, engineering, restaurant operations, training, and vendor partners, to ensure seamless technology rollouts.

Deployment Execution

  • Oversee the planning, piloting, and full deployment of new restaurant technologies across the Tim Hortons network.
  • Standardize deployment processes through scalable methodologies, playbooks, and best practices to ensure consistent execution.
  • Drive rigorous performance monitoring, risk assessment, and issue resolution during project implementation.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, quality, and compliance standards for all technology rollouts.

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management

  • Build and lead a high-performing deployment and delivery team.
  • Partner closely with restaurant owners, field operations teams, and training to ensure technology readiness and adoption.
  • Develop change management strategies to minimize disruption and maximize adoption at the restaurant level.
  • Act as the primary communicator to executive leadership on project progress, risks, and success metrics.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience managing large scale and complex projects in the Quick Service Restaurant industry, or related industries.
  • Proficiency in systems such as POS, networking, order management, and restaurant or hospitality workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and project management principles.
