  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with business and technology partners, influence across organisational boundaries and solve complex business problems through technology.
  • Strong technical and architectural judgement, with the ability to balance strategic direction with pragmatic delivery decisions.
  • Experience coaching and developing technical leaders and practitioners, creating an environment of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to make complex technology topics understandable to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A bias for action, curiosity and critical thinking, with the ability to adapt quickly as business and technology priorities evolve.
  • A growth mindset and willingness to challenge existing approaches, experiment and continuously improve how teams work and deliver.
  • Experience working in the financial services, insurance or wealth management industry.
  • Hands-on experience earlier in your career in software development, solution architecture, systems analysis or another technical engineering discipline.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and modern cloud architectures.
  • Experience leading geographically distributed teams and global delivery models.
  • Experience with product-oriented technology delivery or product management practices.
  • Experience driving DevSecOps, automation, observability, reliability and operational excellence within engineering organisations.
  • Experience using engineering, delivery and operational metrics to understand performance, identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of insurance and wealth business domains and the technology ecosystems that support them.
