Reporting to the Director of Finance, you'll help strengthen our internal finance function while building scalable processes that support our continued growth.

    You'll be responsible for:

    • Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
    • Processing accounts payable, managing vendor relationships, and reconciling AP subledgers.
    • Managing accounts receivable, customer invoicing, payment application, collections, and AR aging.
    • Performing bank reconciliations, monitoring cash positions, and identifying discrepancies or variances.
    • Supporting HST/GST filings, payroll reconciliations, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
    • Assisting with year-end audit preparation and collaborating with external auditors.
    • Helping design, document, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
    • Maintaining and improving the chart of accounts to support accurate financial reporting.
    • Contributing ideas that improve efficiency, automation, and financial processes as RAVL continues to scale.

Sounds great, but do my skills fit?

    • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
    • 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close.
    • Experience using modern accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, or similar ERP/accounting platforms.
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with financial data.
    • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a remote-first environment.
    • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

Nice to have skills:

    • CPA designation or active pursuit of a CPA designation.
    • Experience supporting a startup, scale-up, or growing organization.
    • Experience with multi-currency accounting or SaaS billing models.
    • Familiarity with expense management platforms such as Expensify, Ramp, or Brex.
    • Experience helping implement or improve accounting systems and internal controls.
    • Previous experience working in a fully remote organization.

Mindset Traits

    • You take ownership and pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
    • You're proactive and continuously look for ways to improve processes.
    • You thrive in an environment where priorities evolve and adaptability is valued.
    • You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and build trust across the organization.
    • You enjoy solving problems with a practical, business-first mindset.
    • You value continuous learning and embrace opportunities to grow professionally.

Why join RAVL?

    • Variable bonus & RRSP contributions tied to performance and delivery impact.
    • 4 weeks paid time off (plus public holidays).
    • Paid professional development days and continuous learning opportunities.
    • Comprehensive health & dental coverage, including mental health support.
    • Commitment to lifelong learning through training, mentorship, and certification opportunities.
