- Partner with Product Owners, UX Designers and Solution Architects to understand business needs and root causes, challenge symptom-based solutions, and deliver scalable, user-focused solutions.
- Write and optimize SQL for transactional and analytical workloads, maintain database integrations using PostgreSQL and BigQuery, and use Prisma, Drizzle or comparable ORM/database technologies for application data access and updates.
- Own application quality and reliability through code reviews, unit and integration testing, debugging, front-end performance optimization, production incident troubleshooting and ongoing application maintenance.
- Identify, assess and remediate application and dependency vulnerabilities, including Next.js and Docker vulnerabilities, and support framework/version upgrades and secure engineering practices across the application lifecycle.
What You Bring:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, with 5+ years of professional full stack development experience, including 5+ years working with high-data-volume applications.
- Production hands-on experience with Next.js and intermediate-level TypeScript, including maintaining applications and supporting Next.js version upgrades; strong understanding of front-end performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience writing and optimizing SQL queries using PostgreSQL or BigQuery; experience with PostgreSQL 16 is relevant to our environment. Experience with Prisma, Drizzle or another ORM/database technology is valuable.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and remediate Next.js and Docker vulnerabilities, troubleshoot production issues, maintain applications, and collaborate effectively in an Agile/Scrum product development environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and lead stakeholder demos. Nice to have: Python, Kubernetes deployments, GitLab CI/CD, GCP and Carbon Design System experience.
