CORE brings together the necessary elements of a project to achieve nameplate value and deliver peak asset performance. We take a staged approach to verifying technical readiness and ensuring organizational preparedness, right up to achieving full operational capacity.

Hatch is a global professional services firm delivering innovative solutions across the metals, energy, and infrastructure sectors. We combine world-class expertise with local insight to help clients solve complex challenges and build a better future.

We are seeking a Global Discipline Director, Completions to shape the future of completions excellence across our business. This is a rare opportunity to set the strategic direction for the discipline, influence major projects from engineering through operations, and establish global standards that improve project certainty, operational readiness, and asset start-up performance. This position will be based in Houston, TX.

As the discipline leader, you will champion best practices, strengthen alignment between Construction and Commissioning, and drive a culture of continuous improvement across our global teams. You will be a visible leader who thinks and acts like an owner, balancing technical expertise with strategic vision to deliver lasting value for our clients and our business.

Beyond project outcomes, you will play a pivotal role in developing the next generation of completions professionals, building capability, growing our global practice, and ensuring Hatch remains at the forefront of completions excellence.

This role requires travel to support teams, clients, and project sites globally, including occasional assignments at remote locations.

What will you do:

  • Define and lead the global completions strategy across Stages 1-5, establishing standards, best practices, and governance that drive consistency, quality, and predictable project outcomes.
  • Champion the completions discipline across Hatch, strengthening integration between Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, and Operations while creating a commissioning-driven approach to construction execution and system readiness.
  • Provide strategic and hands-on support to projects, ensuring effective completions planning, turnover sequencing, readiness assessments, risk management, and successful progression through all completions stages.
  • Oversee global completions processes, tools, and digital systems, including governance of iPasCS, data integrity, turnover documentation, quality requirements, NCR/TQ management, and project reporting.
  • Ensure completions activities are fully aligned with operational readiness, enabling safe start-up, efficient handover, and successful transition to operations.
  • Develop capability across the organization by mentoring teams, advancing competency frameworks, and promoting a culture of completions excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Represent Hatch as the global completions leader with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders, supporting business development and strengthening Hatch's position as a market leader in completions and commissioning integration.

What you bring to the role:

  • 15+ years of experience in completions, commissioning, construction, or major project execution, with demonstrated leadership across complex projects.
  • Strong expertise in Stages 1-5 completions, systemization, turnover/TCCC, quality and turnover documentation, commissioning acceptance, and operational handover.
  • Experience working with contractors, managing interfaces, verifying progress, and driving commissioning-led construction readiness and delivery.
  • Proficiency with digital completions platforms and integrated engineering, construction, and project data environments.
  • Deep experience in at least one of Hatch's core sectors: Metals, Energy, or Infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, communication, and change management capabilities, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Collaborative and safety-focused leader who thinks and acts like an owner, builds high-performing teams, and drives continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across diverse cultures, simplify complex technical concepts, solve problems in dynamic environments, and provide effective governance and support to projects.
