Job description

Industrial Engineer (or Industrial Specialist)

Think back—was there ever an elevator ride that made you go, “Whoa, this is nice”?

Maybe it was an elegant glass lift or a minimalist stainless-steel rocket.

It might have shaped your first impression or left a lasting memory of a building.

Chances are, the details made the difference; with an aesthetic interior and stylish, well-built buttons and fixtures. Immersive digital technology like visual displays may have turned a simple ride into a memorable experience as well. You may not have noticed these details then, but once you’ve worked with us, you’ll start noticing them everywhere you go.

Company Overview:

  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to reduce scrap, rework, and recurring process issues. Support timely closure of assigned actions.

Safety and Ergonomics

  • Assess ergonomic risks in high-risk areas and implement practical improvements to workstations, tooling, and material handling.
  • Participate in safety audits, workplace inspections, and 5S activities. Complete assigned safety actions within agreed timelines and support health and safety and ISO compliance.

Other:

  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety procedures and active participation in 5S and housekeeping programs.

Measures of Success:

  • Operational performance: Reduce cycle time variation by 10–15% and process-related downtime by 15%. Improve labor productivity and throughput by 15–20% in targeted areas.
  • Waste and cost: Reduce scrap and rework by 10–15% in targeted processes and deliver at least $20,000 in measurable annual cost savings.
  • Lean implementation: Achieve and sustain 5S audit scores of at least 85%. Complete two to four Kaizen events annually with documented, sustained results.
  • Standardization and training: Keep SOPs and work instructions current for all process changes, with 100% operator training and sign-off on new or revised procedures.
  • Safety and quality: Complete ergonomic assessments and improvements in high-risk areas, and close assigned safety and corrective actions within agreed timelines.
  • Project delivery: Complete at least 85% of assigned projects and improvement initiatives on time, with measurable operational benefits and positive return on investment.
