This role is responsible for enabling Bird’s construction business to operate effectively within its enterprise software systems. Acting as a trainer, facilitator, and adoption champion, the Lead ensures employees across business units understand, embrace, and consistently apply the processes embedded in our operational platforms.

Success in this role means bridging the gap between system design, enablement materials, and frontline execution — ensuring our technology investments translate into scalable, aligned, and efficient operations.

Additionally, this role works in close conjunction with Learning & Development (L&D) to maintain a cohesive learning structure across the organization, ensuring training programs are aligned, standardized, and scalable.

This is a term position.

What You Will Be Working On

Training & Facilitation

Deliver hands-on training sessions for Bird’s operational software systems, tailored to construction workflows.

Facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning experiences that build confidence and capability in system use.

Travel to individual business units as required to provide in-person training, coaching, and reinforcement of best practices.

Act as a visible champion for system adoption, ensuring consistent application of processes across the organization.

Collaboration with Operations Program Enablement

Partner with the enablement group to integrate SOPs, manuals, how-tos, and training materials into system training programs.

Provide frontline feedback on the clarity and effectiveness of enablement materials, ensuring they meet the needs of end-users.

Align training delivery with program rollout schedules and operational priorities.

Collaboration with Operations Technology

Work closely with Operations Technology to ensure software applications and functional designs support real-world execution needs.

Provide user insights to guide system configuration, enhancements, and usability improvements.

Facilitate the translation of technical functionality into practical, easy-to-understand workflows for construction teams.

Collaboration with Learning & Development

Partner with L&D to maintain a consistent learning structure across Bird, ensuring training programs are standardized and scalable.

Align system training with broader organizational learning frameworks and competency models.

Contribute to the design of learning pathways that reinforce adoption and long-term skill development.

Change Management

Actively support change management initiatives by preparing teams for new systems and processes.

Communicate the “why” behind changes to build understanding and reduce resistance.

Reinforce adoption through ongoing coaching, feedback loops, and structured reinforcement activities.

Serve as a trusted facilitator during transitions, ensuring employees feel supported and confident in system use

Stakeholder Engagement

Partner with executives, sector/division leaders, and functional managers to align training priorities with organizational goals.

Communicate program progress, adoption metrics, and feedback to leadership.

Build strong relationships across divisions to drive collaboration and accountability in system adoption.

Team Enablement

Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to program managers and delivery teams.

Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and high performance.

Elevate team visibility and recognition across the organization.

What We Are Looking For

Proven experience (5–7+ years) in training, facilitation, or program delivery within construction, utilities, or related industries.

Strong background in operational systems, software adoption, and end-user enablement.

Expertise in delivering training across multiple formats (ILT, virtual, blended learning).

Willingness to travel to business units as required.

Exceptional communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to translate complex system functionality into clear, actionable workflows for end-users.
