Job description

Interested in joining one of Canada’s top performing asset managers? CC&L Financial Group is looking for an Intern, Investment Analytics Engagement (“IAE”) to join our Investment Analytics Team for a 4-month term (January-April 2027). A dynamic, fast-paced work environment where opportunities for learning and growth are abound. Collaborate with three distinct teams of open-minded and forwarding looking professionals in the Investment Analytics space. You will have the ability to experience first-hand how investment analytics adds value across the Asset Management value chain and make an impact at CC&L through your expertise and analysis in business management.

What You Will Do

  • You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across the teams within Investment Analytics Engagement. These include operational improvements, analytics and market research, and other investment analytics‑related initiatives as they arise.
  • Your responsibilities will include analyzing portfolio and market data, producing weekly morning briefs, contributing to the development of the KCC (internal knowledge‑capital platform), and supporting activities that help the team navigate affiliate experience, operations, and growth. You will gain exposure to a range of asset classes, including both public and private markets. Additionally, you will research and summarize portfolio and industry information for the IAE management team.

What You Bring

The Intern, Investment Analytics Engagement position is geared toward students either in their third/fourth year of an undergraduate degree or MBA with a focus on Business Administration. We are seeking ambitious students with a strong academic track record, who are interested in making an impact in process efficiencies at CC&L.

In addition to the above, the successful candidate will have:

  • Preference given to students completing their third year of an undergraduate degree with a strong academic track record
  • Naturally curious and possess a high level of ownership mentality
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an inclusive environment with colleagues at all levels of the firm.
  • Strong critical‑thinking skills and the ability to break down and solve problems analytically
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Python or other programming language will be an asset.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000 CDN annualized. The midpoint represents our general market target for a fully qualified and experienced individual performing the role. Actual starting salary may fall below or above the midpoint depending on the candidate's relevant experience, skills and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
