Job description

Who We Are

Not just built for today. Building for tomorrow.

DIRTT is a global leader in industrialized construction. Our system of physical products and digital tools empowers organizations—alongside construction and design leaders—to build high-performing, adaptable interior environments.

Operating across workplace, healthcare, education, and public sector markets, DIRTT provides total design freedom and greater certainty in cost, schedule, and outcomes.

We are a highly motivated group of individuals who embrace the company’s entrepreneurial spirit. Everyone is hands-on, regardless of role. We celebrate our successes together, work hard, have fun, and treat one another with respect.

Who You Are

The primary role of the IT Procurement & Vendor Management Specialist is to optimize DIRTT's technology investments through strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract administration, financial governance, and portfolio operations.

You will manage procurement activities across software, SaaS platforms, cloud services, telecommunications, infrastructure, cybersecurity solutions, professional services, and technology support agreements. Acting as a trusted partner to Technology leadership, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and business stakeholders, you will help ensure technology investments deliver maximum business value while maintaining appropriate financial controls, contractual protections, operational performance, and regulatory compliance.

This role combines technology procurement expertise with strong business operations capabilities. You are comfortable negotiating with vendors, analyzing technology spending, coordinating contract reviews, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and maintaining visibility across DIRTT's technology portfolio. Additional duties may be assigned that are reasonably related to the role. Responsibilities may be adjusted or reprioritized in response to evolving business needs, technology, and organizational priorities, while maintaining alignment with the overall scope, purpose, and responsibilities of the position

What You’ll Do

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

  • Lead or coordinate sourcing activities for software, SaaS, cloud services, telecommunications, cybersecurity platforms, infrastructure solutions, and professional services.

  • Develop sourcing strategies that balance cost, performance, risk, scalability, and business requirements.

  • Coordinate and manage RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, vendor evaluations, and competitive bid processes.

  • Conduct market research, pricing analysis, and vendor benchmarking to identify cost savings and value creation opportunities.

  • Perform total cost of ownership (TCO) assessments and prepare sourcing recommendations.

  • Work with business stakeholders to define requirements, evaluate alternatives, and support procurement decision-making.

  • Prepare business cases and financial analyses to support technology investment decisions.

  • Ensure procurement activities align with DIRTT policies, governance requirements, budget constraints, and approval authorities.

Contract Negotiation & Commercial Management

  • Lead routine technology contract negotiations and renewal discussions within delegated authority.

  • Negotiate pricing, licensing terms, renewal protections, service-level commitments, payment terms, and commercial conditions.

  • Support Technology leadership on strategic software, cloud, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and infrastructure negotiations.

  • Coordinate contract review activities with Legal, Finance, Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Procurement stakeholders.

  • Maintain visibility into contract obligations, renewal timelines, termination provisions, notice requirements, and key vendor commitments.

  • Ensure contracts appropriately address commercial, legal, operational, security, and compliance risks.

Vendor Management & Supplier Performance

  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with technology vendors, partners, and service providers.

  • Coordinate vendor onboarding, performance reviews, and ongoing relationship management activities.

  • Monitor supplier performance against contractual commitments, service levels, and business expectations.

  • Track vendor performance metrics and facilitate periodic business reviews.

  • Identify opportunities to consolidate vendors, improve vendor performance, reduce costs, and optimize service delivery.

  • Escalate supplier risks, recurring service issues, or contractual concerns to Technology leadership as required.

Financial Planning, Spend Management & Cost Optimization

  • Support annual technology budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.

  • Maintain visibility into recurring costs, renewal obligations, project spending, committed expenditures, and future financial commitments.

  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis and forecasting updates.

  • Analyze technology spend and identify cost-saving opportunities through consolidation, optimization, renegotiation, and license rationalization.

  • Support invoice validation, accruals, prepaid expense tracking, capitalization activities, and financial reconciliations.

  • Develop reporting and dashboards that provide visibility into technology spending, vendor commitments, realized savings, and financial risks.

  • Assist Technology leadership in evaluating investment opportunities and preparing ROI and business case analyses.

Technology Asset, License & Vendor Governance

  • Maintain accurate records for software licenses, subscriptions, maintenance agreements, support contracts, warranties, and technology assets.

  • Coordinate software asset management activities and validate licensing requirements and utilization.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize license consumption, eliminate unused services, and improve technology investment efficiency.

  • Support vendor due diligence activities involving cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, legal, and risk-management requirements.

  • Maintain procurement and vendor-management documentation to support audits, compliance reviews, and governance activities.

Project Portfolio & Technology Business Operations

  • Support project and portfolio governance processes across the Technology organization.

  • Assist with project intake, prioritization, steering committee preparation, status reporting, and governance reviews.

  • Track project budgets, vendor commitments, milestones, risks, issues, and actions.

  • Coordinate project administration activities across business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors.

  • Support project managers and technology leaders with planning, reporting, communications, and portfolio management activities.

  • Prepare executive-ready reporting for Technology leadership and business stakeholders.

  • Additional duties may be assigned that are reasonably related to the role. Responsibilities may be adjusted or reprioritized in response to evolving business needs, technology, and organizational priorities, while maintaining alignment with the overall scope, purpose, and responsibilities of the position.

What's Required

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered.

  • Two or more years of experience in technology procurement, vendor management, contract administration, IT business operations, strategic sourcing, or a related discipline.

  • Experience procuring or managing SaaS solutions, cloud services, enterprise software, telecommunications services, technology infrastructure, or professional services.

  • Experience supporting contract negotiations, renewals, sourcing events, or vendor management programs.

  • Experience working with budgets, purchase orders, invoices, forecasts, and financial reporting.

  • Strong understanding of software licensing, subscription models, technology contracts, and vendor management practices.

  • Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to evaluate costs, identify trends, and prepare recommendations.

What’s In It for You

  • A competitive base salary plus a variable pay (bonus) program.

  • Eligibility to participate in DIRTT’s Employee Share Purchase Plan.

  • Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage (coverage and eligibility may vary by location).

  • For in-office roles: continental breakfast, coffee, tea, soda, daily hot cafeteria lunch, and snacks to keep you energized.

  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage, plus life, critical illness, and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance.

  • Mental health support, including access to an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP).

  • A thorough and supportive onboarding program designed to set you up for success.
