EA SPORTS FC represents the future of football at EA SPORTS. With more opportunity than ever to innovate and create authentic, immersive experiences for a global community of players, we’re looking for leaders who can help us push the quality and ambition of the experience forward.
As a Manager of Experience Design, you will lead an Experience Design team responsible for creating cohesive, intuitive, and highly crafted player experiences across EA SPORTS FC. You will work at the intersection of Experience Design, Game Design, and Art, helping teams connect traditional interface design with spatial, environmental, and in-world experiences.
You will report to the Experience Design Director.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience designing and delivering shipped, player-facing experiences for games or interactive entertainment, including AAA or similarly complex interactive products.
Experience designing player-facing experiences that bring together 2D interface and 3D environments through spatial, diegetic, and in-world UI, with strong judgement around when each approach best supports the player experience.
Advanced understanding of interaction design, interface design, information architecture, visual hierarchy, typography, composition, motion, and accessibility.
Strong portfolio proving systems thinking, visual excellence, and end-to-end design solutions.
Cross-mode & ecosystem design expertise, with proven success managing dependencies and scaling cohesive UX across several products or features.
Strategic & collaborative mindset to balance player needs with business/technical constraints, align cross-functional partners, and mentor design teams.
Excellent creative judgment and the ability to articulate design strategy, provide actionable critique, and collaborate with partners across Design, Production, Art, Engineering, Research, and Leadership.
Experience leading designers and complex product areas, providing creative direction and mentorship while maintaining a high bar for design quality and craft.
Design systems governance and leadership, skilled in governing and evolving scalable systems across complex products.

Partner closely with Game Design, Art, Technical Design, Engineering, Animation, and Audio to bring together 2D interface, real-time 3D environments, spatial interactions, and gameplay systems into a cohesive player experience.

Oversee feature design from exploration through implementation, providing direction, critique, and support throughout the development process.
Partner with Production, User Research, and other Experience Design leaders to establish priorities, planning, and creative direction.
Apply systems thinking across features and partner with Design System leadership to maintain consistency and quality across the product.
