The Opportunity

Build the Future with Us

As a Lead Project Controller with our Energy and Process group, you will play a key role in driving successful project delivery through effective planning, cost control, forecasting, change management, risk management, and performance reporting.

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will work closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary project teams to establish and maintain robust project controls throughout the full project lifecycle. You will lead the development and monitoring of project baselines, integrate cost and schedule information, evaluate trends and changes, and provide clear insights that support timely, informed decisions.

You will also have the opportunity to provide guidance to project controls team members, strengthen project controls practices, and contribute your expertise to complex EPC projects and proposals.

Your Impact

  • Lead project controls activities across the project lifecycle, integrating cost, schedule, change, risk, forecasting, and performance measurement.

  • Establish and maintain project control baselines, including work breakdown structures, budgets, schedules, progress measurement, and forecasting frameworks.

  • Monitor and analyze project performance, identifying cost and schedule variances, trends, emerging risks, and potential impacts to project outcomes.

  • Develop accurate forecasts and project controls reporting that provide Project Managers and leadership with clear insight into current performance and anticipated outcomes.

  • Lead and support change management activities, including assessment of trends and scope changes and evaluation of their cost and schedule impacts.

  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, finance, and other project functions to maintain consistent, integrated project information and reporting.

  • Support project risk management by identifying project controls risks and maintaining appropriate inputs to project risk registers and mitigation plans.

  • Mentor and guide project controls team members while supporting continuous improvement of project controls processes, tools, and practices.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Significant experience in project controls, including cost control, planning and scheduling, forecasting, progress measurement, change management, and project reporting on complex projects.

  • Strong experience supporting EPC or similarly complex multidisciplinary projects throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Advanced knowledge of project planning and scheduling principles, including hands-on experience with Primavera P6.

  • Strong understanding of cost and schedule integration, variance analysis, forecasting, management of change, and Earned Value Management principles.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain project baselines, WBS structures, forecasts, progress measurement systems, and project controls reporting.

  • Proven ability to translate complex project information into clear insights and recommendations for Project Managers and project leadership.

  • Effective leadership and collaboration skills, with experience coordinating project controls activities and mentoring less-experienced team members.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary project teams and with internal and external clients.
