Full company description

At Ice River Sustainable Solutions, we’re more than just a bottled water company. We’re recyclers and environmental problem solvers committed to recycling 100% of our plastic – again and again. Founded in 1995, our Canadian family-run company not only produces the highest quality, environmentally responsible bottled water available, we’re also passionate about tackling all kinds of sustainability challenges with forward-thinking innovation and eco-friendly design. That’s what led Ice River to be the first North American beverage company to build our own recycling facility – allowing us to take in 80% of Ontario’s blue box material and give that plastic new purpose. Collaborating with other companies, we produce eco-friendly packaging and products made from 100% recycled PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plastic, that are 100% recyclable. We believe finding sustainable solutions takes a little innovation and a whole lot of determination.

This is a hands-on leadership role supporting highly automated processing, bottling, plastics, and facility operations. We're looking for someone who enjoys developing people just as much as solving technical problems. If you're passionate about building strong maintenance teams, mentoring tradespeople, and creating a culture of accountability, we'd love to hear from you.

Why Join Our Feversham Maintenance Team?

In addition to a competitive salary and annual performance bonus, Maintenance Supervisors at our Feversham facility are eligible for an additional $12,500 annual Maintenance Loyalty Bonus, recognizing the critical role our maintenance leaders play in keeping our operation running at its best.

What You'll Do

As our Maintenance Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead the maintenance department to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of highly automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians by identifying skill gaps and implementing individualized development plans.
  • Build balanced maintenance teams by strategically pairing technicians with complementary strengths to promote mentorship and knowledge transfer.
  • Partner with the Maintenance Manager to support succession planning and strengthen long-term technical capability across the department.
  • Foster a positive, accountable team culture built on communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance discussions to support employee engagement and development.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues while supporting innovative solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Modify, repair, install, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment, utilities, and facility systems.
  • Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
  • Monitor maintenance inventory levels and coordinate procurement of required parts and supplies.
  • Filter, prioritize, assign, and monitor maintenance work orders to ensure timely completion and CMMS compliance.
  • Track equipment performance KPIs and support initiatives to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Manage repair and maintenance (R&M) costs while maintaining equipment performance.
  • Lead daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance meetings while coordinating priorities with production and other departments.
  • Conduct routine inspections of production equipment and facilities to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate OEMs and contractors during major shutdowns, installations, and equipment upgrades.
  • Participate in the maintenance on-call rotation and provide leadership support during off-hours when required.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience within a high-speed manufacturing or packaging environment (food and beverage experience preferred).
  • Previous experience leading maintenance teams in a supervisory, lead hand, or similar leadership capacity.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude combined with electrical and PLC troubleshooting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop technical employees.
  • Experience with CMMS systems, preventive maintenance programs, and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance planning, scheduling, and shift coverage.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate diverse maintenance teams.
  • Proven problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and safe maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Flexible to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies when required.

Compensation

In addition to your base salary, you'll receive:
