Job description

Who we are
You know those big cities that still feel like small towns? Where everyone’s friendly and helps each other out? That’s like Doane Grant Thornton. Except here we’re all professionals and there isn’t a mayor or a general store. What we’re trying to say is that we’re a large and growing professional services firm that still feels like a community. We employ about 3000 people across Canada, and we truly care about our colleagues, our clients and the communities where we work and live. That’s what’s most important to us. We’re building a thriving organization that’s purpose driven and still want to remember what your favourite milkshake flavour is.

Role Summary
As a Manager, Business Transformation, you will help bring the Firm’s strategy to life by leading workstreams within enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across people, processes, and technology. Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, you will partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to translate priorities into practical solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes and improve colleague and client experiences.
The role balances change management and process improvement. Depending on portfolio needs, you may bring deeper expertise in change management or strength across both disciplines, while working with complementary capabilities across the team.
Success requires analytical rigour, stakeholder influence, execution accountability, and comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities.

As a Manager, Business Transformation your responsibilities will include:
• Partner with leaders to design and deliver transformation initiatives aligned with Firm strategy and measurable outcomes.
• Translate complex business challenges, data, and insights into structured approaches, actionable plans, and clear recommendations that influence decisions.
• Lead process design and optimization by analyzing workflows, facilitating current- and future-state workshops, identifying root causes, and designing scalable solutions.
• Use quantitative and qualitative analysis, reporting, dashboards, and performance measures to guide decisions, track impact, and enable continuous improvement.
• Design and implement change strategies, including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, learning, risk assessments and adoption measures.
• Monitor adoption and outcomes, address resistance, incorporate feedback, and refine approaches to sustain new behaviours and ways of working.
• Drive execution within scope, timelines, and success measures; support initiative scoping, prioritization, sequencing, governance, and transparent performance reporting.
• Partner cross-functionally to develop integrated change, communication, and learning approaches and deliver integrated solutions.
• Lead and develop through clear direction, coaching, feedback, and capability building, while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
