What is the Opportunity?

The Manager, Global Events role reports to the Senior Manager, Event Programs and independently leads the end-to-end delivery of an assigned portfolio of events across in-person, hybrid, sponsored, partner, and regional formats.

This role converts approved event briefs into detailed delivery plans, owns day-to-day execution and stakeholder coordination, and ensures each assigned event is delivered on time, within budget, on brand, and to a consistently high attendee-experience standard.

This highly organized and detailed oriented individual works closely with the Senior Manager, Event Programs, who will oversee the enterprise event portfolio and program governance.

What Will You Do?

Event planning and program delivery

  • Serve as the accountable delivery lead for an assigned group of events, developing event-level project plans, workback schedules, budgets, staffing requirements, risk registers, and success checkpoints within the portfolio framework established by the Senior Manager.
  • Lead event kick-offs and working sessions for assigned programs, coordinate owners and dependencies, maintain decisions and action items, resolve delivery issues, and escalate material risks or trade-offs.
  • Translates the approved event brief and attendee journey into detailed logistics, floor plans, production schedules, registration workflows, staffing plans, run-of-show documents, hospitality requirements, and onsite operating procedures. Present/share with internal stakeholders from marketing, sales, industry advisory teams accordingly.
  • With guidance from Senior Manager, develop and maintain event-level templates and playbooks in line with portfolio standards for run-of-show documents, staffing plans, stakeholder briefings, speaker prep, sponsor fulfillment, post-event recaps, and risk mitigation.

Budget, vendor and logistics management

  • Manage purchase requests, vendor quotes, invoice reviews, reconciliations, and identification of cost efficiencies within approved parameters.
  • Manage venue, hotel, production, catering, registration, freight, exhibit, promotional, and other suppliers for assigned events; confirm scope, deliverables and deadlines, and elevate contract or performance concerns as required.
  • Research venues, restaurants, vendors, regional event opportunities, competitor event participation, and destination considerations to support future planning. Leverage vendors to support research, where needed.

Event communications, content and stakeholder coordination

  • Coordinate event-specific communications and content deliverables, including Jira tickets, invitations, registration pages, attendee reminders, speaker materials, signage, briefing documents, event-app content, and post-event messages, securing approvals from the appropriate owners.
  • Manage sponsor, exhibitor, speaker, executive and VIP deliverables for assigned events, ensuring requirements, deadlines, rehearsals, credentials, and onsite support are confirmed and documented.
  • Ensure event materials follow brand standards and are accurate, polished, accessible, and ready for internal teams, attendee, speaker, sponsor, or sales audiences.

Onsite event execution and attendee experience

  • Lead onsite delivery for assigned events, including registration desk coverage, vendor coordination, signage checks, staffing, run-of-show execution, attendee experience, room set-up reviews, and issue resolution.

Event performance and continuous improvement

  • Coordinate lead-capture readiness and post-event handoff with sales and marketing operations; validate event records, surveys, invoices, and required follow-up inputs before closing the event file.
  • Produce event-level recaps that document delivery results, budget performance, attendee feedback, vendor performance, risks, and recommended improvements for future programs.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Must Have:

  • Typically five to seven years of experience delivering and managing B2B events, conferences, sponsorships, or experiential marketing initiatives, including independent ownership of multiple concurrent events.
  • Demonstrated experience managing event-level budgets, suppliers, production, registration, logistics, onsite teams, and post-event closeout.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, HubSpot marketing automation tools, project management platforms, Jira, event registration systems, survey tools, Microsoft Office, and AI-enabled productivity tools is required.
  • Accountable event owner, disciplined project manager, confident cross-functional lead, commercially aware, detail-oriented, decisive, service-minded, and calm under pressure.
  • Able to anticipate risks, make sound event-level decisions, direct vendors and temporary teams, communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, and balance attendee experience, brand quality, budget, and delivery constraints.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise technology, fintech, AI, cloud, or another complex industry is preferred.
