Our client is an established architectural practice based in Toronto, known for delivering thoughtful, design-focused projects across the residential, institutional, and commercial sectors. With a collaborative studio environment and a strong focus on quality and innovation, the firm is looking to add an experienced Marketing + Proposals Manager to its growing team.
This is a full-time, in-office opportunity based in Toronto.
Your new role
As Marketing + Proposals Manager, you will lead the firm's proposal, qualification, pursuit, and interview processes while supporting broader marketing, communications, and business development initiatives.
You will manage proposals from opportunity identification through to final submission, coordinating closely with senior leadership, project teams, consultants, and external partners. Responsibilities will include reviewing RFPs and procurement documents, developing pursuit strategies and submission schedules, leading proposal kick-off meetings, coordinating content, and ensuring all submissions are completed accurately and on time.
You will oversee proposal writing, editing, graphic design, layout, quality control, and final production, while creating compelling presentations, graphics, infographics, and other visual materials.
You will also contribute to marketing and brand initiatives, including developing project sheets, resumes, presentations, award submissions, marketing collateral, and digital content. Additional responsibilities will include supporting the firm's website, social media, email marketing, CRM, marketing databases, and content libraries.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have 5–8+ years of experience in marketing, proposal management, business development, or communications, preferably within architecture, engineering, construction, planning, design, or another professional services environment.
You will bring:
- Proven experience managing complex RFP, RFQ, RFSQ, EOI, and qualifications submissions
- Strong knowledge of procurement, proposal development, and pursuit planning
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and presentation skills
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign
- Strong graphic design, layout, and visual storytelling capabilities
- Experience developing proposals, presentations, marketing collateral, and award submissions
- Familiarity with websites, social media, CRM systems, digital marketing, and content databases
- The confidence to collaborate with senior leadership, project teams, consultants, and external partners
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of brand consistency
A degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, Journalism, or a related discipline is preferred. Experience providing guidance or mentorship to junior marketing team members would be an asset.
What you'll get in return
This is an opportunity to take ownership of proposals, pursuits, and marketing initiatives within a respected Toronto architecture and design environment. You will work closely with senior leadership and project teams while playing an important role in supporting the firm's business development, brand positioning, and continued growth.
The position offers broad exposure across proposal management, marketing, communications, graphic design, and business development, making it a strong opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career within the AEC industry.
