Make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents.

Trevor Frances Recruitment is partnering with a long-term care organization in London, Ontario, to find a compassionate and clinically strong Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about resident-centred care, clinical excellence, and supporting the people who make a difference every day.

This is an opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner who brings sound clinical judgment, a collaborative approach, and a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life for older adults. You'll play an important role in supporting residents and their families while providing clinical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the care team.

If you're looking for a role where your expertise, leadership, and compassion can have a lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Nurse Practitioner will provide clinical leadership and direct resident care while working collaboratively with nursing staff, attending physicians, residents, and their families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Clinical Leadership: Provide direction, mentorship, and clinical guidance to Registered Nurses (RNs), Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs), Personal Support Workers (PSWs), and other direct care team members.

  • Resident-Centred Care: Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, identify resident needs, and develop individualized care plans that support dignity, safety, and quality of life.

  • Health Promotion: Provide education, guidance, and preventative care to residents and families, helping them make informed decisions about health and wellness.

  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with attending physicians and the broader care team to coordinate treatment, address clinical concerns, and support positive resident outcomes.

  • Care Planning and Documentation: Maintain accurate clinical records, complete required nursing documentation, and support residents through the admission and move-in process.

  • Quality Improvement and Safety: Identify opportunities to improve care delivery, promote best practices, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure clinical practices align with applicable legislation, professional standards, and long-term care requirements, including the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021.

  • Ethical Decision-Making: Apply critical thinking and sound clinical judgment when navigating complex resident care needs and clinical decisions.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a Nurse Practitioner who combines strong clinical expertise with an approachable leadership style and a genuine commitment to resident well-being.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Nurse Practitioner designation and registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

  • Previous experience working as a Nurse Practitioner.

  • Experience in long-term care or providing care to older adults.

  • Experience providing clinical leadership, mentorship, or supervision within a healthcare environment.

  • Strong critical-thinking, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, and care teams.

  • A commitment to resident-centred care, quality improvement, safety, and professional standards.

  • Working knowledge of the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021, and applicable long-term care regulations.

Additional requirements:

  • Satisfactory Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Screening.

  • Proof of immunization and any additional documentation required under applicable legislation and workplace policies.

What You'll Love About This Opportunity

  • A respectful, supportive, and safe working environment.

  • Access to professional development, training, and mentorship opportunities.

  • Competitive and flexible compensation options.

  • The opportunity to contribute to a care environment focused on dignity, innovation, and meaningful resident experiences.
