Job description

Role Overview

Parking management is evolving, and modern technology is leading the way. As a Parking Enforcement Officer with Concord Parking, you will play a essential role in maintaining fair, safe, and efficient parking environments for clients, visitors, and residents across the Lower Mainland. Utilizing mobile License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology and specialized handheld devices, you will patrol designated client sites, issue accurate citations, and help drivers navigate parking rules with ease.

This is not just a ticketing role—you serve as an ambassador for our company and client locations. As part of Concord Parking and the Paladin Security Group family, you will join an organization recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies and a Glassdoor Best Place to Work. We offer extensive training, supportive leadership, and clear pathways for career growth in parking management and operations.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means balancing accurate enforcement with outstanding customer service. You will use sound judgment, discretion, and technical tools to ensure parking regulations are followed consistently and fairly.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Conduct mobile and foot patrols across assigned client locations, operating specialized LPR vehicles and mobile handheld software.
  • Scan vehicle license plates, assess permit accuracy and time restrictions, and issue clear, accurate violation notices when necessary.
  • Gather solid evidence and record detailed incident and activity reports using digital tools such as TrackTik run sheets and vehicle inspection forms.
  • Assist parking patrons directly by answering questions, helping with pay station operations, and offering directions in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Investigate parking complaints with impartiality and resolve minor parking issues using clear judgment.
  • Navigate safely and efficiently between patrol zones in North Vancouver, Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond while adhering to all traffic safety laws.

Over time, you will:

  • Become a subject matter expert on site-specific parking policies and enforcement technology.
  • Build a reputation for reliable, conflict-free customer interactions and detailed, dependable reporting.
  • Open up opportunities for internal career advancement within Concord Parking and the broader Paladin Security Group network.

Schedule, Pay & Benefits

We believe in straightforward, transparent details regarding work arrangements and compensation:

  • Starting Wage: $20.00 per hour.
  • Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (5 days per week, 8 hours per shift).
  • Shift Timings: Shift start times vary between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM.
  • Coverage Areas: Mobile patrol routes across North Vancouver, Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond (flexibility to start shifts in these areas is required).
  • Benefits Package: Comprehensive coverage including Extended Health, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, and Paid Vacation time.

What You Need to Succeed

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following baseline requirements:

  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving abstract (will be verified during screening).
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Comfort working outdoors on foot patrol in all weather conditions (rain, heat, snow).
  • Proficiency with modern technology, including smartphones, handheld software, and basic computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Solid attention to detail and investigative problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to navigate safely using maps and modern GPS tools.
  • Comfort wearing a professional uniform and maintaining clean presentation standards.
  • Willingness to complete standard background screening (Criminal Background Check, Motor Vehicle Record check, and Employment Verification).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

These qualifications are a bonus, but not required to apply:

  • Fluency in additional languages beyond English.
  • Previous experience in mobile patrol, security, customer service, or field operations.
  • Familiarity with AutoVu (Patroller) LPR software or TrackTik reporting systems.
