Job description

Come join our passionate team! Barracuda is a leading global cybersecurity company delivering complete resilience made easy to buy, deploy and use through a partner-first model. Our intelligent BarracudaONE™ platform provides cyber resilience across email, data, applications, networks, and managed XDR within an open ecosystem. Trusted by hundreds of thousands of organizations and partners worldwide, Barracuda delivers industry-leading solutions and support, powered by people and enhanced by AI, for all size business.

We are committed to a candidate selection process and work environment that is inclusive and barrier free. To ensure candidates are assessed in a fair and equitable manner, accommodations will be provided to prospective employees in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Envision Yourself at Barracuda

Help customers protect their organizations from phishing and malware while making email security easier to administer. As a Product Manager/ Product Analyst you will turn customer evidence into well-defined product improvements and own a focused feature or administrator workflow from discovery through release and follow-up. You will work directly with engineering, supported by a senior product manager who helps you develop sound product judgment.

Your ownership and support

You will be accountable for a clearly bounded area: understanding the problem, defining the intended outcome, preparing requirements, resolving routine questions and assessing results. Your engineering partners will help shape feasible solutions and delivery plans. A senior product manager will review your recommendations and retain responsibility for portfolio strategy, the overall roadmap and major prioritization decisions.

Regular customer conversations, product reviews and coaching will build your capability in discovery, delivery and measurement. Ownership will expand as you demonstrate readiness, with clear feedback on the skills needed for your next step in product management.

What You’ll be Working on:

  • Investigate customer and administrator needs through interviews, support feedback, usage data and market or competitor research.
  • Work with the senior product manager to distinguish recurring problems from isolated requests and choose a manageable opportunity to pursue.
  • Translate that opportunity into user stories, acceptance criteria and a clear definition of success, with senior PM review.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design to explore trade-offs, refine the backlog and recommend the order of work within your assigned scope.
  • Stay engaged through delivery: clarify requirements, validate the customer-facing behaviour and track milestones, dependencies and risks.
  • Resolve straightforward product questions collaboratively and escalate security-sensitive, high-impact or cross-product decisions rather than making them alone.
  • Close the loop after release. Review relevant KPIs, such as workflow adoption, task completion or support trends, and use the evidence to recommend improvements.
  • Prepare concise release briefings and internal training so customer-facing teams understand the change and its value.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • You have 2–5 years of relevant experience in product management, project management, software engineering or comparable work; adjacent experience that demonstrates product thinking and collaboration with software teams is welcome.
  • You can break a customer problem into actionable requirements, interpret basic quantitative and qualitative evidence, and explain your reasoning clearly.
  • Familiarity with agile software delivery and cybersecurity fundamentals will help you contribute, while curiosity and a willingness to seek feedback will help you grow.
  • You work constructively across disciplines, communicate trade-offs without losing sight of the customer, and adapt when new evidence changes the plan.
  • You follow through on commitments and know when to ask for guidance.

Helpful, not required

  • Exposure to phishing and malware protection, email administration or Microsoft 365 is useful. Basic awareness of SPF, DKIM and DMARC email authentication is also welcome; expert-level security or protocol knowledge is not expected.
  • Certified Product Manager (CPM) certification or comparable product training is a plus, not a requirement.

How success will be assessed

Success means delivering a well-understood improvement within your agreed scope, keeping engineering aligned on requirements and dependencies, and demonstrating what changed for customers. Your growth will be evaluated through the quality of your decisions, delivery follow-through and learning from evidence, not simply the volume of meetings or backlog activity.

What you’ll get from us:

When you join Barracuda, you're joining a company that invests in your success. We foster a culture where employees are empowered to make an impact, grow their careers, explore new opportunities, and continue learning. From career development and internal mobility to wellbeing, financial wellness, and family support, we're committed to helping our employees thrive both professionally and personally through our comprehensive total rewards program:

· Equity, in the form of non-qualified stock options

· Comprehensive health benefits, including wellbeing and mental health support

· Generous paid time off and paid parental leave

· Career growth and learning opportunities, including educational reimbursement

· Life and disability coverage to help protect you and your family

· Additional programs and resources that support your wellbeing, family, and financial future

Compensation

At Barracuda, we’re committed to supporting our employees’ well-being and long-term success. Compensation for this role is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, and work location. For hires at this level, the anticipated salary (or salary plus commission target, where applicable) falls within the range below.

CAD 89,000 to CAD 115,000. Final compensation will be determined in part by the qualifications of the selected candidate. Compensation ranges and benefits are subject to change and may vary by location and level.
