Where You’ll Work

This is an on-site role working within our modern, purpose-built laboratory facility located in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

What You Will Do

Luminultra is recruiting a Production Supervisor to join our Operations Team. In this role, you’ll lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, support production team performance, and help ensure our processes consistently meet operational and quality standards. You’ll work collaboratively across departments to keep production running efficiently and support continuous improvement.

As the Production Supervisor, you will support key organizational objectives and have responsibilities such as:

  • Lead daily production activities, coordinating work assignments, staffing, schedules, and priorities to meet production targets and delivery commitments.
  • Will work cross-functionally with other departments such as procurement, quality, planning, and others as required.
  • Provide hands-on supervision, training, coaching, and feedback to production employees; support onboarding, skills development, and performance management.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with approved procedures and applicable standards.
  • Oversee and conduct manufacturing activities, including reagent preparation, decontamination, quality control testing, packaging, equipment operation, calibration, validation, and maintenance.
  • Ensure product quality, accurate production records, and end-to-end traceability; address and escalate deviations, nonconformances, and operational issues as required.
  • Monitor production inventory, raw materials, supplies, work in process, and finished goods; use Oracle Fusion ERP to maintain accurate production and inventory transactions.
  • Support process improvement, material source validation, investigations, and corrective actions through testing, documentation, and Quality Management System tools.
  • Communicate production updates and operational needs across departments, contributing practical insights to support efficient operations and company initiatives

Compensation: 55K - 65K based on experience and alignment with the role requirements.

Who You Are

You're a hands-on, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a regulated manufacturing environment and is passionate about maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence. You bring a strong scientific foundation, the ability to lead and develop a team, and a practical approach to managing daily production activities. Additionally, you bring skills and experience such as:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, or an equivalent field of study.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a laboratory, cleanroom, or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • At least one year of experience supervising employees in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Strong knowledge of chemistry principles, calculations, laboratory best practices, and controlled manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize daily work, manage competing priorities, solve operational problems, and meet production deadlines.
  • Strong communication, coaching, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail and a consistent commitment to safety, quality, compliance, and traceability.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP or a comparable enterprise resource planning system is an asset.
  • Experience working within a formal Quality Management System and supporting investigations, corrective actions, or validation activities is an asset.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured continuous improvement methods is an asset.
  • A team player who prioritizes ‘we’ rather than ‘me’.
