Project Director - Hotel

Marcon is entering an exciting period of growth, with several significant projects on the horizon, including a large-scale hotel development scheduled to begin construction in 2027. As we prepare to bring this project to life, we are looking for an experienced Project Director to help lead its successful delivery.

This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in a complex, high-profile development, working alongside talented construction professionals and contributing to an important next chapter for Marcon.

Reporting to the VP, Construction, the Project Director will provide overall leadership and oversight from pre-construction through project completion. The role is accountable for delivering exceptional results across safety, quality, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction, while building strong teams and fostering collaboration across all stages of construction.

The Opportunity

As Project Director, you will take ownership of a significant construction project, providing strategic direction and hands-on leadership to ensure successful execution. You will oversee project planning, financial performance, contractual obligations, and delivery, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, trade partners, and internal stakeholders.

You will also play an important role in developing high-performing project teams, driving operational excellence, and ensuring Marcon's commitment to quality is reflected in every stage of construction. This is an opportunity for a seasoned construction leader to make a meaningful impact on a landmark project as Marcon continues to grow and evolve.

What You Bring

  • 8–10+ years of progressive experience in construction project management, including leadership of large-scale or complex projects.

  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing construction teams.

  • Strong understanding of construction methods, estimating, scheduling, contracts, financial management, and safety requirements.

  • Proven ability to oversee project budgets, schedules, risks, and contractual obligations while maintaining high standards of quality.

  • Strong commercial judgment, problem-solving skills, and experience navigating complex project challenges.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and trade partners.

  • A collaborative leadership style with a commitment to developing people and driving continuous improvement.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, with confidence using construction technology and digital tools.

  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. PMP certification is considered an asset.
