  • Drive business growth by identifying opportunities, building a targeted pipeline, and helping advisors expand their life insurance and living benefits business.
  • Develop strong relationships with advisors and key business partners across your territory, becoming a valued resource in helping them achieve their business goals.
  • Deliver compelling product insights, market intelligence, and innovative sales ideas that help advisors create meaningful client solutions and differentiate their practices.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, including advanced case support and technical specialists, to design and deliver tailored insurance solutions for complex client needs.
  • Actively position Canada Life's broad suite of products and solutions, showcasing the value and strength of our offerings in a competitive marketplace.
  • Stay current on industry trends, tax and estate planning concepts, and changing market dynamics to provide relevant insights and strategic guidance to advisors.
  • Leverage your professional credibility and expertise to influence, educate, and inspire advisors while establishing yourself as a trusted partner within the financial services community.

What you will bring

  • 5+ years of experience within the financial services, insurance, or wealth management industry.
  • Post-secondary education in finance, business, or a related discipline; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Proven success developing business, managing relationships, and driving sales results within a competitive environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian life insurance, disability insurance, and critical illness products, as well as industry trends, regulations, and sales strategies.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, influencing, and communication skills, with the ability to engage advisors at all levels.
  • A growth mindset and entrepreneurial approach, with the ability to identify opportunities, develop business plans, and execute with discipline and accountability.
  • The ability to work independently while effectively managing a broad territory and competing priorities.
  • Confidence using a variety of communication channels, from virtual meetings and presentations to in-person advisor visits and industry events.
  • A passion for coaching, mentoring, and helping advisors grow their businesses through tailored insurance solutions.
  • A solid understanding of tax and estate planning concepts related to life insurance and living benefit planning.
  • Experience supporting advisors across various business models, including Managing General Agencies (MGAs) and National Accounts, is considered an asset.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with internal business partners to deliver exceptional advisor experiences and business outcomes.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory using your own transportation.
