We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Automation & AI (Workday) to identify and deliver automation and AI solutions that simplify HR processes, reduce manual effort, and improve the employee and HR experience.

In this role, you will partner with HR and technology teams to identify opportunities for automation, build workflow solutions, and explore practical applications of generative and agentic AI within the Workday ecosystem. You will use your hands-on automation experience and understanding of emerging AI technologies to turn business needs into practical, scalable solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and support automation and workflow solutions using tools such as Workato, Workday Extend, Power Automate, or similar platforms.
  • Build prototypes and production-ready solutions for use cases such as approvals, notifications, validations, data movement, and recurring HR processes.
  • Evaluate and apply generative AI, AI agents, and agentic AI to practical HR and Workday use cases.
  • Partner with HR and business stakeholders to understand requirements, define success measures, and translate business problems into technical solutions.
  • Test, monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve automation and AI solutions.
  • Apply appropriate security, privacy, governance, auditability, and human-approval controls, particularly for sensitive HR processes and AI-enabled actions.
  • Document solutions and support procedures to enable sustainable operations.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in Workday, HR technology, automation, enterprise applications, or a related technical role.
  • Hands-on experience building and implementing automation solutions using multiple tools or platforms, such as Workato, Workday Extend, Power Automate, Power Platform, RPA, workflow tools, scripting, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of generative AI and agentic AI, including how they can be applied to automate business processes.
  • Solid understanding of Workday HCM, including business processes, reports, calculated fields, security, and Workday data.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical automation and AI solutions and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, testing, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, REST, JSON, and authentication to support automation use cases.
  • Experience working with sensitive HR data and applying appropriate privacy, security, and governance controls.

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience building AI agents, agentic workflows, or MCP-based solutions that interact with Workday or other enterprise applications.
  • Experience with AI guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls, accuracy checks, and AI solution testing.
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Slack, Teams, or similar technologies.
  • Workday, Workato, or similar certification.
