Our unique position as one of the country's largest employers, coupled with our commitment to positively impact the lives of all Canadians, provides our colleagues a range of opportunities and experiences to help Canadians Live Life Well®.

At Loblaw Companies Limited, we succeed through collaboration and commitment and set a high bar for ourselves and those around us. Whether you are just starting your career, re-entering the workforce, or looking for a new job, this is where you belong.

Role Mandate

We are looking for a driven, analytical, and systems-savvy Senior Analyst with a strong foundation in Finance and financial systems to join our (FSPD) Financial Systems & Process Development team.

This role requires someone who understands financial concepts and processes while also being comfortable navigating systems, analyzing data, troubleshooting issues, and partnering with IT and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate can translate financial and business requirements into effective system solutions and, equally, translate complex technical or system issues into clear business language.

What You'll Do

  • Bridge Finance and Technology by partnering with Finance, business teams, and IT to understand requirements, translate business needs into system solutions, and resolve system and process issues.
  • Support financial systems and process improvements by identifying opportunities to simplify, automate, standardize, and strengthen existing processes and controls.
  • Participate throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design sessions, documentation, system configuration support, testing, implementation, and end-user training.
  • Lead and execute system and integration testing, validating functionality, financial accuracy, data integrity, and end-to-end business processes.
  • Troubleshoot financial system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and work with IT and business partners to resolve defects, data issues, and process gaps.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for business requirements, system functionality, testing, processes, controls, and ongoing enhancements.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and effectively manage multiple initiatives, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree or Post-Secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of relevant Finance experience, preferably with exposure to financial systems, financial reporting, process improvement, or systems implementation/support.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Proven problem‑solving abilities and composure in fast‑moving, high‑pressure situations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with Power BI is preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems such as SAP is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively across Finance, Technology, and business teams.
