Are you an experienced project leader ready to shape how complex infrastructure gets delivered, and to grow the team that delivers it?
Corix is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead our largest and most complex district energy and utility infrastructure projects from development through design, construction, commissioning, and handover. This role combines hands-on project leadership with people leadership. You'll own project outcomes end to end, set direction for project teams, and supervise and mentor Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
You'll play a key role in advancing Corix's low-carbon district energy portfolio across British Columbia and North America, including some of the region's most innovative systems such as Richmond City Centre, UBC Westbrook Place, SFU UniverCity, Victoria's Dockside Green, and beyond. You'll also work alongside senior leadership on project development and strategic initiatives that shape the future of the portfolio.
Corix is proud to offer a flexible working environment. We embrace hybrid work, with in-office collaboration guided by the needs of the role, opportunities for development, and what best supports the team.
What You Bring
You're a seasoned leader who sets direction for others, not just for your own projects. You bring deep technical design and construction expertise, and the credibility to make and stand behind high-stakes decisions on cost, schedule, risk, and scope. You're comfortable operating at both the project level and the portfolio level: resolving complex issues on site one day, and helping senior leadership shape budgets and project strategy the next. You build strong teams, develop the people around you, and earn the trust of clients, developers, municipalities, and internal partners.
What You'll Do
Lead and oversee Corix's largest and most complex capital projects through the full lifecycle, from development and planning through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Own all project costs and spending, including consultant and contractor contracts and internal PM costs. Prepare budgets and order-of-magnitude estimates, forecast and report on costs, and approve progress draws and invoices.
Provide senior technical design and construction leadership. Review consultant deliverables, and give project teams timely direction and decisions that keep work moving and on schedule.
Prepare, negotiate, and administer contracts with architects, engineers, consultants, clients, developers, suppliers, and subcontractors. Lead contract awards and build a strong pool of qualified bidders.
Lead and align senior internal and external stakeholders, resolving conflicts and balancing competing technical, commercial, operational, and regulatory priorities.
Maintain an active site presence to verify progress, anticipate risks, and ensure compliance with HSE, permitting, and regulatory requirements.
Direct, supervise, and mentor junior project managers and project coordinators, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development.
Support senior management with project development, strategic initiatives, and budget planning.

Comfortable navigating ambiguity and uncertainty, bringing structure, clarity, and alignment to complex and evolving situations.
Preference given to candidates with construction management and site supervision experience, plus building systems engineering experience (HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, etc.).
PMP certification is preferred; LEED qualifications are an asset.
Proficiency in French (written and spoken) is considered an asset.
